Miles From Nowhere

First time trying The Original Patti. I would suggest this place for an easy, relaxing, comforting restaurant. While the food is high quality, the bill won’t reflect as such.
Our service from the employees was tremendous; our server was on point with the suggestions as well.
I’m surprised to not see interior photos on Google, because the inside of this establishment is very versatile; romantic yet good for larger groups.
The food and drinks were nothing short of amazing. We had the Gumbo and Loaded Fries with a few drinks..leaving satisfied by not only the food but the entire atmosphere.
100% will return. Amazing experience. Server was the best.

I was hungry and decided to hop on Google to find a small restaurant, and I’m glad I did. I was promptly seated, and my waiter a friendly gentleman gave great attention to my needs. I ordered the steak and potatoes with a side salad.

The food overall was an 8/10. The steak was much larger than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise, though it could have used just a touch more seasoning. Still, everything was well-prepared and satisfying.

I would definitely come back again, and if you’re on the fence about trying this place go for it. You won’t be disappointed.

Some of the best chicken wings. Crispy on the outside and wonderfully juicy on the inside. The steamed veggies weren’t water loaded, they were perfectly prepared and I really liked the variety of colored carrots to go with the broccoli and cauliflower. These were fresh to steam.
The fried chicken sandwich was a huge hit. Crispy, beautiful chicken breast glistening with juices. Switched out the fries for the side salad and it was filling.
Neither the veggies or salad are seasoned so do it yourself which is best.
Our waitress was polite, answered our questions, refilled our drinks and checked on us.
We left satisfied, happy and wish there was a “The Original Pattie” closer to home.

The grilled shrimp salad was amazing and fresh. All our food was fresh; however the ribeye, grilled MR didn’t have enough seasoning and was on the thin side for the price. The restaurant was clean and quiet. We’ll definitely be back

It took over 10 minutes for our server to even greet us and she was walking right past us to address two other tables. We live nearby, but drive 20-30 minutes away for our weekly date night. Customer service is big for me. The food was delicious though.

This was hands-down, the best precious burger I have ever had. We were driving from New Orleans to Dallas and stopped in this little place because I wanted a burger if you get the chance stop here it is worth it and it is not expensive.

My wife and I took a friend when they first opened and unfortunately, both our burgers were over cooked to well done, even though the Menu said we could order our desired doneness. She was medium rare and I was medium. Both came out well done +. Our friend ordered a fish sandwich which he enjoyed.
The service was attentive and courteous so we wrote our experience off to just being open for a month. We were excited to have another restaurant at Couret Farms.
Experience #2 was my wife and a friend. They got the same overcooked results.

#3-Three months have gone by and my wife is out of town. I ordered the large eight ounce burger, cooked medium. For a burger of that thickness, it does not take a 5 Star Chef to take it off the grill early. Again it was cooked overly well done AGAIN!

I now have two unfortunate conclusions;
1. Compared to other eight ounce burgers (Swanky’s. & Burger-smith, The burger at The Original Patti are considerably thinner. Of course overcooking a burger
will reduce its pre cooked weight. My suspicion is their burger is underweight pre cooked.
2. My other suspicion is all of the burgers at The Original Patti are pre cooked and then heated back up on the grill when ordered.

The service has always been courteous and professional. The burgers are nicely seasoned and the toppings are fresh, as are the. buns. The problem is how the burgers are cooked. Not a recipe for sustainable success.

I’m so frustrated. The burgers are decent, but if you order anything else get ready for some subpar cafeteria food. We ordered the Mac and cheese and it was clearly Kraft with extra shredded cheddar on top. Mozzarella sticks are either from Sam’s club or Sysco, but that really what you want when ordering mozzarella sticks. The pickle spears have the oddest musty after taste. I will say the onion rings are great, batter is superb and the dipping sauce is pretty good.

It took forever to get a server to greet us. She would ask if we needed anything and be gone before we could respond. None of the servers had any hustle and it was not busy.

But in the future, I think I will stick to ordering to-go instead of dining in.
