Super attentive. Within 2m we had 3 different waiters attend to us.

Never had Dutch Baby before which was yummy.

Cons: Syrup is watery, bacon omelet no cheese was dry, side of 2 eggs cost $5, environment is dark and retired, and they could attend better to water refills and providing to-go boxes.

The Original Pancake House is the most incredible breakfast spot we’ve experienced. From staff who are always warm and welcoming and make sure your drinks are topped off to the ambience and flexibility, it really doesn’t get better! Check out their menu before you go with the best selection anywhere. Scrambles and waffles, crepes and omelettes and even dutch babies and yes definitely pancakes. We’ll need to come back .. soon!

Haven’t been here in years and glad we stopped by today. Service was excellent and the food was good. The portions, as many reviews mention are huge. 3 of us had corned beef hash with potatoes and eggs. 2 orders would have been enough. Came with 3 pancakes or french toast, both very good with real maple syrup and whipped butter. The hash was home made and chunky. Despite being placed on the griddle to crisp it a little, it wasn’t dried out. Eggs up were perfect. Had to ask for containers to take half of the plates home. The interior definitely shows it’s age but it’s very clean. Will be back.

Unfortunately, this place was a little bit of a let down i had high hopes… maybe a little too high ‍♂️ the place was old and run down, staff were hard to communicate with, and the food wasn’t as tasty as I thought it would be…. better luck next ti……. no, there wont be a next time.

Anthony and Emily recommended the Dutch Baby at The Original Pancake House here in Los Altos. We shared one plus two eggs on the side. It was delicious! Plenty of fruit, maybe a little heavy on bannana, nonetheless excellent. The Original Pancake House reminded me of a restaurant from the 1970s. This is not a bad thing as it is a comfortable place to come and enjoy breakfast. Staff were friendly and attentive. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Came here for brunch on Sunday at 1pm. All of the outdoor tables in the patio area were full, but we only had to wait a little bit and a table opened up. I saw people’s dogs laying down patiently while their humans had their meals. The service was good. Our server gave us all the condiments that we requested. The buckwheat pancakes were good. The eggs were cooked the way I wanted, over medium, which went well with the apple sausage and hash browns. Overall a good meal.

The service was slow and the servers were not attentive. The chef overcooked our eggs; but they did bring us additional eggs after we complained. Overall they tried to make up for their short comings and the food overall is still good. We usually come here foe their Dutch babies, which I’d highly recommend and their buckwheat pancakes are great too.

Frist impression of this research was okay average service as you walk in they greet you and all but once you sit down and order your food they forget to bring you extras like fork knife coffee there was like 5 waiters but all were on there phones or talking. Not paying attention to the guest anyways once we ordered we got our food which was coming out way to quickly for my gut feeling if anyone has seen Gorden Ramsay on TV he says if a kitchen spits out food to quickly be cautious and yes we were food had mixed quality some tasted good other was not the beat but we also Got served Spoiled food our waffles we order were extremely sour and bitter and the strawberry we had as toppings were moldy THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN worst of all the customers service from there staff was poor instead of admitting that they were wrong they made an excuse saying the cheif used Sour Dough Bread power which is absolutely absurd like come on just say you gave us Spoiled products I will never be coming back and will definitely call the Health Department to vist this establishment STAY AWAY FROM THIS PANCAKE HOUSE!!!

Kind of a throwback place. Once a mighty chain now with a few remaining outposts of which this is one. The basic menu is unchanged for 50 years. The service is pleasant but quite slow and sometimes incompetent. But everyone is nice. The food is good (also unchanged after 50 years). The up charge for “real” maple syrup is a little off putting but it is optional. Overall a solid “sure…why not?”

Pancake Paradise! An institution…Often imitated, never duplicated. One of the best breakfasts you could have. Kind and friendly, attentive staff. It’s been years, and always an outcome that pleases all parties involved. A true rarity these days.
