We came here on vacation and overslept for the hotel breakfast. Looked this place up on google maps and decided to come. So glad we did. Loved the look and feel of this place first off, and then came the food. The BEST pancakes I think I’ve ever eaten, and my wife said the same thing! Kids loved their pancakes just as much. Then our omelets came out. Not sure I can call them that, more like a giant egg cake!! My wife and I could have split this and we would have been fine. Think we may have to over sleep the hotel breakfast again!! If you’re in the area, COME, you will not be disappointed!!

They deliver on what you’d expect from a place with a name like this. Not fancy or overdone, just simply good food. Fresh fruit and ok coffee.

This is a rather busy location but the staff doesn’t let that get in the way of providing stellar service. They were a little on the slow side for drink refills however they made us feel welcome and acknowledged with every interaction.

The pumpkin crepes were out of this world. The flavor and texture were just amazing. The pb banana chip pancakes were divine, wonderful texture and a most enjoyable blend of peanut butter, chocolate chips, and fresh banana slices.

The omelet was great, the eggs were perfectly cooked and the ingredients were mixed in such a way that every bite had a wonderful mix of flavors. The cinnamon roll pancakes were a burst of sugary goodness with the lovely consistency of a well made pancake.

If you are in the area and looking for a lovely breakfast/brunch then this is the place for you.

I don’t write reviews often, but this one is absolutely deserved.

We ate at The Original Pancake House in Fort Collins, Colorado, and it was hands down the best service I have ever received at a restaurant. And I say that as someone who eats out a lot. I’ve been to countless restaurants over the years — casual spots, higher-end places, you name it — and this experience stood out above all of them.

Our server, Brandy, was exceptional. Truly exceptional. From the moment we sat down, Brandy made us feel welcomed, taken care of, and genuinely appreciated as guests. She was attentive without hovering, quick without rushing us, and incredibly kind and personable. You can tell Brandy takes real pride in what she does.

What impressed me most about Brandy was how natural and effortless she made everything feel. Drinks were never empty. Food came out smoothly. Every question was answered confidently. She anticipated needs before we even had to ask. That level of service is rare.

I’ve eaten out at a lot of restaurants, and this was by far the best service I’ve ever gotten — and that’s because of Brandy. The food was great, but Brandy made the entire experience unforgettable.

If you go to The Original Pancake House in Fort Collins, ask for Brandy. She sets the standard for what service should be.

10/10 experience. We’ll absolutely be back — and we’ll absolutely be asking for Brandy again.

Been trying to get in there for a year.Always busy, lines out the door. They have every pancake you could want. Waffles, French toast and so much more. Breakfast only. It was ok,but I go to a restaurant called the Breakfast Club in Fort Collins, I prefer that play. Best homefries, home made gravy, biscuits. So in all Pancake House was ok.

We had our first visit to the original pancake house today. There was plenty of parking and the inside was beautiful light and airy. We had a wonderful server who was attentive and friendly. I had scrambled eggs and English muffin, sausage and hashbrowns. The hashbrowns were golden, brown, and crispy. The English muffin was fantastic. My wife had a Benedict that she really liked also. We will return soon. I’m sure as I want to try the Swedish pancakes.

Such a classic place for breakfast. The staff were so kind and at about 8:30 on Sunday we got a table right away!
The dutch baby is a staple and so tasty and perfectly cooked. The Mediterranean omelette had a good portion of quality fillings. The bacon was probably the best bacon I’ve had from a breakfast place in a while. The pork green chili was super good with a nice strong spice. The pork in it wasn’t the best ever, but the overall flavor was very nice.
I would definitely come back to this location. So yummy!

Update: July 4 2025. STILL top notch! Our friends had the crepes and the pancake plate, my wife had the breakfast burrito and I had the hash browns with eggs but I substituted egg whites. My meal came with a side of buttermilk pancakes. Outstanding service. The place was packed due to the holiday but we were seated quickly and our orders were prepared equally fast. Great value, great service, great experience. New pics attached.

Our first time here. Bring your appetite. HUGE portions and chances are you’re gonna bring home half your order. My wife and I met friends here for breakfast. They are regulars and eat here every Friday. The place was packed but the wait for a table for five was short. This place is fun, uplifting and buzzing with energy from all directions – management, staff and customers. The food is simply top notch. I had the Hawaiian Pineapple Pancakes (full order $10.50) with a side of ham ($6.50) – two large, thick-cut lean pieces of ham. The pancakes were served with a special pineapple-bit buttery syrup topping. My wife had the Veggie Omelet (did I say HUGE?) with a short stack of buttermilk pancakes on the side. Our friends each ordered crepes, visible in the background of my pic of the ham. Our food was served hot, and for as crowded as the place was, did not take overly long to be delivered to the table.

This place has great service and the food is darn good! The full plate of banana pancakes was huge and they were so good! Bananas were fresh and perfectly ripe. Breakfast burrito left a bit to be desired but it was still good. The sausage in the burrito was kind of bland but not terrible. The real reason we went was for the hashbrowns though. They were fantastic, but they did try to bring us some undercooked hashbrowns but they made it right immediately and brought out a perfectly cooked order. The portion of the hashbrowns are huge too! Great place for breakfast!

What a great place for breakfast and lunch. Opens early morning and closes early afternoon. Very bright, clean and fresh with the friendliest staff in the area. The food is fresh and very tasty. Generous portion size and very reasonably priced. Kids’ menu available. Table service was polite and efficient. Looking forward to the next visit when in the area.
