Love the food. First time at this location. And it was great. We ordered spicy cheese dip with breadsticks and a medium Sicilian pepperoni and sausage and it was absolutely wonderful.
One thing. The sauce did not taste seasoned enough or like it had pizzazz. The way the pizza was laid out based on cheese and sauce, I could make this easier. Open up a can of Hunts and throw enough mozzarella on it. It was unseasoned. Dough was quite finely done and they didn’t take too long to make the pizza. But for almost $17 for a medium cheese pizza I’d say go somewhere else definitely.
I’d say like someone else said though, this place is a novelty more than anything. It’s got the old look, it’s the first location I’d imagine. I never came in here before. And it’s something I needed to do but now i know. The last time I got a Noble Romans pizza it was from the express hot food somewhere and it was good so I wanted to try the real one and this is what I found so. Get the express for less money.
The pizza and salad bar were just fine. No issues. The main reason I’m writing this review though is because of our server, Garrett. He made the experience so welcoming with his kindness and enthusiasm. It’s hard to find solid employees like this, who are passionate about their job. Garrett is top-notch!
I miss the old silent movies on the wall & giant helium balloons, but very different from the Noble Romans Craft brew pub chain. (This is the original, unfranchised, restaurant for over 50 years).
We have already loved this place & will probably start going again!
My memories are of the pizza they made in the early 90’s. I don’t think is really like that anymore. I used to love their small chopped pepperoni on the pizzas which just had a special flavor. That wasn’t present on my pepperoni/sausage hand tossed I ordered. What was there was a bit more cheese than I really needed with “toppings” hiding underneath much of it.
The pizza was decent, but it didn’t invoke any long lost inner taste bud memories. The place was packed, so it was obvious the locals still appreciate (what I was told was) the last franchised location (and the interior is dated as such).
I cannot comment on the breadsticks. A couple buddies of mine back in the day said that’s what they liked the most about Noble Roman’s, but I’ve never been about those, so I just stuck with a pizza.
