Food is consistently good. Especially the calzones!
Service is consistently terrible.
Usually order take out for this reason, but recently tried dining in again. Still terrible service. Got our drinks and garlic bread then sat for over an hour waiting for food with no one checking in on us. Tired of waiting, I go to the counter to pay for the bread and drinks. As we are turning to leave a different person (not our server) asks if we want our food to go. Apparently the food was ready, but no one brought it out. So ended up with take out anyway.
The calzones were still very good.

Came in this weekend as a party of 7. There were only a couple of other people inside when we arrived. Server took or order and delivered our drinks. Over the next half hour all drinks were emptied and not refilled and the food took a half hour to come out (I realize this is probably not the server’s fault). We did get refills after our order came out but we had to request silverware to eat with.
Everyone who ordered pizzas were very happy with their food. I ordered the Greek Calzone and honestly, I wasn’t sure what to make of it. Very confusing flavor combination with a ton of artichokes. The crust was a bit overdone on the outside and still a little raw and doughy on the inside. It was served with Italian marinara sauce instead of any type of Greek sauce. Greek dressing would have made much more sense. The marinara just didn’t go with the Greek dish.

I ordered through delivery. Ordered a calzone. Probably the best calzone I have ever had, and I am older than dirt so I have had quite a few calzones in my day. The calzone is huge, The sauce is delicious, the veggies were great!! This calzone was a total win!

GREAT food and fantastic food serving size. Typically, once a week I order the Shrimp Scampi to go and I get anywhere from 3 to 4 meals out of it. For 99 cents I upgrade to breadsticks to “garlic bread” which is a four slice garlic cheese pizza. For me, that pizza is one meal. The scrimp I ask to be put in a separate container. For me, that’s a meal. The Angela hair pasta with sauce? For me, two solid meals.

I have been a customer, an Italian pie Slidell.Since it’s opening . I went in there with my wife on february eleventh 2026.
I was shocked to see that 6 booths were empty but could not be used due to dirty dishes left from customers. Food scraps were all over the floor in booths ,not a little bit but an obvious amount that you could plainly see from across the moon. There was one booth without dishes on it but some small crumbs on the table, we were led to that booth and when we got there the seating guy brushed off the crumbs with the menu onto the seat and said the server will be right over. Needless to say we moved to a table the server came and took our drink order after about 10 minutes. My wife unwrapped her silverware and it was dirty and still greasy so she told server and she brought another . That came back with food on it and when I opened mine it was greasy also. We have been going there for years and we left that day due to poor service and just the filth we saw. My wife questioned if the dining area was being left in such a condition what might the kitchen look like so we left and went to Copelands.
I have always liked the food at Italian Pie but I cannot eat in such an environment. They do a good business and I guess it doesn’t matter if a few loyal customers don’t return

We have been several times before but the food and service has gone way down recently. Out of 6 of us who ordered all different items only one of us actually ate the food. The rest of the meals were really bad. The waitress also did not do a good job. Not once did she pick up any dishes during our time there. We sat there for almost 20 minutes with food and no silverware. When we would ask for a drink she would bring it for the wrong person.

Pizza was room temp upon receiving from door dash. Crust was burnt and pizza was baked too long. Very disappointed and a waste of money. It will be awhile before ordering from them again. My dog liked it though she ate the only slice.

I had an exceptional dining experience at Italian Pie with Mein Papa. I ordered the Pizza and Salad. The personalized pizza that was a true delight – it had the perfect combination of pepperoni, Canadian bacon, and crumbly bacon. The pizza was cooked to perfection, and the flavors were simply mouthwatering. The Crust was so amazing. Absolutely my new favorite. The accompanying Ceasars salad was a pleasant surprise, adding a fresh and crisp element to the meal.
The service we received was top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff who made our visit even more enjoyable. The cozy and inviting atmosphere of the restaurant added to the overall charm of the place. Italian pie was always a staple after coming home from N’awlins. Today we waited for an hour to hear excuses of how many to go orders they had but we were in an empty restaurant. Then the food came out under cooked and response was “I will tell the manager”. For over $100 and one of the places we always loved, this was very disappointing. Will skip from now on.

Been going downhill for years and now they have an absolute lunatic for a manager who will cause a scene and start yelling at customers for requesting completely inedible food be remade or taken off the check? $300 dollars spent but he (manager) threw an absolute tantrum and then claimed mushrooms must have FALLEN ONTO the dish that was supposed to be made with no mushrooms. So you’re casually serving cross contaminated food? Completely uncooked pizza.
