Tried The Italian Pie in New Orleans and had a mixed experience. The pizza was good with a nice crust and solid flavor, definitely something I’d order again. The wings were also good—well cooked, flavorful, and enjoyable. Unfortunately, the cheese sticks were a big letdown. They tasted off, weren’t enjoyable at all, and didn’t have the cheesy pull or flavor you’d expect. Because of that, they really brought the overall experience down. The pizza and wings were the highlights, but I would strongly recommend skipping the cheese sticks.

Walked in on Mardi Gras to order food: Online/to-go order is available, but we wanted a walk and thought we might enjoy sitting down. We were met by an extremely disinterested hostess who could barely pay attention long enough to take our order.

Crawfish lasagne was available online. But we were told it was out when we got there. My disappointed son took seafood lasagna instead. I saw glowing reviews online of the calzones, so I ordered a large Italian.

We sat down to await our food, but our bare arms were sticking to an obviously dirty table. We were both unhappy with the surroundings, so I quickly changed to a to-go order.

Food quality:
the calzone was .. meh. Honestly, the Costco calzones are better (and much cheaper).
The lasagna was awful. ‘Large’ was a 7x5x2 takeout dish, mostly Alfredo, and half was dumped when my son hit a sharp piece of bone/plastic/fingernail(?). On the plus side he did say it had a fair amount of shrimp and crab.

In writing this review, I realized they had overcharged me! Lasagna was 20 online (charged 21) and calzone should have been 21 (charged 22). Should not cost more for me to walk in and order.

I will not return, and I recommend you dont either. There are places providing much better quality/value who deserve (and WANT) your business.

Awesome small spot, ordered a small buffalo chicken pizza, was not on menu but staff quickly said they could make it no problem! Perfect amount of chicken, blue cheese crumbles, wing sauce, and cheese. People around me got calzones-will try that next, looked delicious. Will return. About 20 bucks for small pizza and Coke Zero.

We were here for the Sugar Bowl and really wanted some pizza. We searched for pizza places around the superdome and the Italian pie came up on the search. The pizza was delicious and the service was great. Tables are a little rickety and sticky but overall a great experience.

We were here on vacation and I found this place on Google Maps. This place is amazing! The all meat pizza was amazing and the best we have had in a long time! We ordered another to take back to the room! I highly recommend getting a great pizza here!!!!

We stopped in for lunch at The Original Italian Pie, and overall it was a good experience. The pizza itself was very good—flavorful, fresh, and definitely the highlight of the visit. The atmosphere inside was quaint and had that New Orleans charm, though the tables were a bit on the sticky side, likely thanks to the humidity. The service was okay; the girl behind the counter wasn’t especially helpful but got the job done.

All in all, it made for a good lunch spot, even if it didn’t quite rise to the level of superb. The food makes it worth a stop, especially if you’re craving a solid pizza in the city.

They do overcharge. Got a meat pizza small menu clearly said $10.99 they charged me $12.99 plus $1.29 for garlic butter without proper disclosure.

Mozzarella sticks small thing. $11.99 but advertised price on menu is $9.99

Now go on online you see their menu price threw their store is much different. Meat pizza is $11.99 mozzarella sticks is $11.99

This business is engaging in deception.

If they charge one price online, another in store then they have to have separate books to keep taxes strictly separated it leaves room for money laundering, tax evasion and fraud.

I would urge the state of LOUISIANA and IRS to dip deep.

They also have gambling in the back.

A man cashed out a ticket.

Do not come here.

I purchased the lasagna and the chicken Parmesan meals. The lasagna was on point but the chicken Parmesan was lacking, lacking and sauce and cheese, which made the experience horrible to save the lease. I expected better of Italian pie. I even gave them a second chance because the first time the chicken Parmesan was burntnow I go back to get it removed with an offer. Now I go back to get it removed with a offered without incident The second time around still very little cheese and very little sauce

I was in New Orleans late one Sunday before heading offshore and was hungry before I called it a night. Checked my food availability and the Italian pie was open late so decided to stop by and see. Place is small but nice. Kinda had that old school atmosphere to it. Checked the menu and tried the lemon pepper wings. Very good size and seasoning was on point. Not greasy either. Since it was late I would have to come back and try a pizza. Menu had good options. I will be back and definitely recommend.
