I’m new to the area, and stopping into this Italian bakery was truly a lovely experience. The woman behind the counter — a sweet blonde lady — was so kind and patient with me. I was feeling a little overwhelmed (in the best way!) because everything looked incredible. She took her time helping me order, carefully packaged up two slices of pizza, a piece of carrot cake, and a slice of cherry cheesecake — all of which were absolutely delicious.
The bakery itself has such a warm and welcoming vibe, and the staff clearly care about making sure you’re happy.

The Original Italian Bakery is where we get our dough and bread for all occasions. They have convenient hours of operation and always have what we need. They are very generous as they usually offer free pizza chips and give the kids cupcakes during most visits. Quality of product is always top notch. Highly recommend.

Wow if I could give them 10 stars I would. We drove from Baltimore MD to get there when they opened at 7am. Everything we bought was so incredible. We loved all the baked goods and the pizza chips are to die for. They were so nice they even filled us bags of pizza chips to take with us . So friendly and welcoming. If your a local you know this is a great bakery, if your in the area and want an amazing bakery definitely make this a stop!!!!!

The small shop next to a beautiful church has always attracted me, I decided to go there after reading the reviews ,
When I went in, I was surprised by the amount of things (bread dough, pastries and sweets..)
OMG! I was confused, everything it had seemed delicious
The sweets honestly looked very beautiful and tasted very delicious
Everything I ordered was very delicious and I will come back and try other things
And the people who work in the shop are very nice
I advise you to try it, I am sure it will become one of your favorite shops in rhode island

⭐⭐☆☆☆ – “Leave the attitude and take the cannoli… on second thought, maybe just take the calzone.”
I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but when I spend my hard earned money, I expect a positive experience. Unfortunately, my recent visit to The Original Italian Bakery was a bit of a mixed bag.
The girl at the counter didn’t seem very welcoming, no smile or greeting. Maybe she was having a rough day, but it did make the visit feel less inviting.
I ordered a cannoli, which unfortunately missed the mark. The shell was soft, and the filling was dry and lacking in flavor. I had heard great things about this place, so it was disappointing that the cannoli didn’t live up to the reputation.
That said, the calzone was really tasty and fresh, and definitely the highlight of my visit. It showed that the bakery is capable of great food when things are done right.
I’m hoping this was just an off day, because I’ve seen other positive reviews. For now, though, my experience was uneven…one great item, but an overall visit that didn’t quite deliver.

Super crowded — lines out the door, but we didn’t have to wait too long, and everything was worth the wait. The party pizza was delicious, especially the sauce, which might be the best sauce on party pizza we’ve had. The spinach mini calzone was very flavorful, and the olives in there gave it a ton of flavor! The filling in the cannoli was delicious (the second best I’ve ever had, and the best in either Providence area or Boston, including some famous places), though the shell was a bit soft/stale. Overall, a treat, and I look forward to trying more things here!

Ordered and paid for 2 small Italian loaves of bread for Christmas. Just left there at 2pm without the bread 🙁 They told us they did not make enough for a lot of customers. A phone call would have helped. Seemed like the owner could care less about the customers and they offered us free cookies. No thank you! So we got our money back and went to Calvitto’s Bakery where they had plenty of bread left and a special of buy one get one free!

This place is the real deal. I’m from the West coast and good food is always around the corner, especially in Vegas, so I’ll be honest and say that I greatly underestimated this bakery. I was not a believer in cold pizza, but now I am! The pizza chips, pizza slices, and the baked goods here is top notch. The marinara sauce is zesty, flavorful, and very well balanced. The pizza chip with jalapeno takes it to the next level. I told them that I was new to the area and the food then Mia at the counter very quickly set us up with the starter kit to take home. Such good service, even though it was getting busy! Don’t underestimate this bakery and its food, this is seriously good eats!
