I went there the other day and the fish was banging!!!! The place was empty but the fish was fresh and well seasoned, and not over cooked. Its still one of the best fish spots in the area.

The services and food were awful. I ordered bonefish and had to wait for the fish to be thawed out 15 minutes prior to being cooked and received . I drove home and realized that they gave me the wrong order.
When I pulled up to the restaurant, I thought the restaurant was closed. However, the employees were on the side of the building getting high.
The establishment has gone down hill since it has been brought with new management.

I wish I could give them no stars! I’ve been a loyal customer for decades. Imagine my surprise when I got my piece of croaker that had not been descaled. As soon as I open the box, I called the restaurant and the young lady told me that’s how the fish comes now. I have NEVER been served fish with scales on it. I asked her to let new management know they needed to research how to cook fish and politely let her know they had lost a customer. If that’s how it comes now when I’m spending $20, I don’t need to go back.

If I could give this place a negative 100 stars, I absolutely would. The customer service was appalling, and I’ll be sharing this experience across all my social media platforms so others don’t go through what I did.
On October 25th, I called in an order for a pan of whiting around 11:20 a.m. They told me it would be ready by 2:00 p.m. When I arrived, not only was it not ready—the guy hadn’t even started cooking it. When I voiced my frustration, instead of showing any professionalism or accountability, he gave me an attitude.
Trying to stay calm, I later called and spoke with a manager who was actually polite and understanding. She listened, apologized, and helped me place the order again. I arranged for an Uber driver to pick it up for me.
When the driver arrived, I called several times to let them know he was there, but every single time, the woman who answered immediately put me on hold without even letting me speak. After the fourth call, I finally said, “Can you please listen to me before putting me on hold?” Her response was dripping with attitude: “I have customers.” Then she hung up on me.
When I called back again and finally got her on the line, I asked to speak to the manager. She said, “I am the manager.” That completely threw me off—because this person sounded nothing like the manager I’d spoken with earlier, who was respectful and kind. This woman sounded much younger, and her tone was beyond rude, dismissive, and disrespectful.
To make matters worse, she started picking up the phone just to hang up on me repeatedly. It was childish and completely unprofessional. After being a loyal customer for years, this was the last straw. I will never step foot in that place again. Whoever that woman was, she has absolutely no business working in customer service—let alone representing the business as a manager.

8pm on a Thursday. Doors locked and Open signs are on. Google states that it closes at 8:30. I tried calling before 8pm and it went straight to voicemail. I arrived at 8pm and the doors were locked but open signs were on. I could see 2 gentlemen in the kitchen and behind the counter. A female unlocked the door. I shared that “it says you all close at 8:30pm”. She responded “Google be lying. We have to be out of here at 8:30pm”. I said “okay, thank you”. Weird because I ordered from this location before after 8pm. This isn’t the first time having issues with this location though. It seems when it’s late evening they always send the phone straight to voicemail. What terrible customer service. I wonder if the owner is aware of these practices.

Went here today and we had the chicken and whiting combo and the shrimp and whiting comb, mac and cheese, collard greens and potato salad and the banana pudding. The collards and the potato salad were sweet to me and the mac and cheese tasted as if it had Lawry’s in it. Now if you come from a household that seasons their noodles for mac and cheese I’m not accustomed to that but it’s probably going to taste good to you. The banana pudding was alright, it reminded me of eating cake batter taste wise. The consistency was whipped and light, not so much a pudding and I appreciated that. All in all, 4 out of 5 stars and I would go back.

I had a taste for some catfish after church. I asked Siri where I could get some and she led me to H&D. I don’t know what these other folks are talking about. I just finished (well ate as much as I could) a catfish sandwich and a side of sweet potatoes that they kindly let me “taste” for no charge. Both are hittin. The catfish was thick, crispy and very well seasoned. And I consider myself a foodie and hard to please. The gentleman at the register and the cook were super courteous as well. I walked in off the street and was out the door with my hot delicious fish in about 10 minutes. I will be returning. Probably next Sunday if I’m being honest

Unfortunately disappointed…The basic fish sandwich and fries is a H&D staple. I stuck with the basics and ordered the Whiting fish sandwich and fries. The fish was dry and bland and the fries were undercooked. There were big squeeze bottles of ketchup and “Big Mamas” sauce but when I asked about hot sauce, all they had were little packets. I ate a bit just to curb my hunger on the way home but I saved the rest for the next day at home consumption so I could add my own seasoning to make it edible. Quality matters folks. Pay attention to your product. Satisfaction is not always guaranteed by reputation. Service was good though and the place was nice enough and appeared clean.
