The Orient is easily one of the best restaurants in downtown Greenville. The menu has a lot of great selections, the food is delicious, and the service is always great (be sure to ask for Tommy!). The sesame, garlic, and Mongolian options for the wok lunch are excellent, and their bento box is delicious. Portions are very generous as well. The owners are great people who strive to provide an excellent experience to their patrons, and it shows in every visit.

A great experience. I visited this place three years ago when I was in the area. I ordered hibachi salmon. Everything was good but rice was bit stiff and cold.

The food in here tonight was awful, the chicken was spoiled and you could taste it through the flavors they tried to sauce it with. When brought to management’s attention we were told that they probably just overcooked it We had some wing that where also bad and they took them away and trashed them and made us pay the half price for food that they trashed and we received nothing as far as compensation for what we purchased just basically handed them money for nothing and was told that this is their policy to trash the food and charge you 50% like what? This place is a joke.

Big portions on the hibachi meals. Ramen was VERY flavorful. Not the best hibachi flavors I’ve ever had but pretty good. We sat outside, we enjoyed it.

My friend ordered the tofu curry and one of the tomatoes in her dish still had the sticker on it. We made our server jessica aware of the situation and she was very rude. This is clearly a health code violation. She refused to give us a full refund for the dish

The Orient is always a go to for me and my husband. They have a sister restaurant called Sushi Murasaki that’s next door and you can order from the sushi menu from Sushi Murasaki when you dine at The Orient. We went here last weekend for an early dinner. I ordered the honey chicken with white rice and he ordered the General Tso chicken with fried rice. We also ordered the Clemson roll to share. A spring roll was included with our meal and it came out first. It was hot and fresh and delicious. The Clemson roll came out next and it was good but felt like it could’ve been better. The shrimp within the roll wasn’t crispy enough. My meal was amazing. It was hot and fresh and so good. My husband liked his meal as well but next time he will ask for it to be extra spicy.
Overall the meal and customer service were great!

Went for a graduation celebration on Memorial Day and while it was busy, they had no problem seating us. There were six of us, and our waitress handled us very well. She wouldn’t visit the table very often, but she was taking care of lots of other tables so nothing against her. My meal came with an egg roll, and it was hot and definitely fresh. It came to the table quickly, and was a good start to the meal. We also got the Szechuan dumplings as an appetizer, and they were okay. The sauce was bland and not as spicy as advertised, but the filling was good. For my main course I got the ‘Famous Wok Dinner’ with beef and General Tso sauce. It looks small when it first arrives, but it fills you up. I was expecting more, but all it had was beef and the sauce, and 3 cold broccoli pieces on the plate. The General Tso sauce was also advertised as spicy and it was not. The fried rice that came with it was bland and felt like it had been microwaved, and it had next to no eggs in it. The decor in the restaurant is pretty, but when you first walk in it is very crowded, but once seated, you can relax. It wasn’t a terrible dinner but it is unlikely that I will come back.

I and many of my friends and the coworkers have been coming here for years. Their lunch menu has great options for price, flavor, and quantity. I would recommend dropping by here. Tommy is our server most of the time, and he does a great job! He’s definitely one of the reasons we enjoy coming here.

Most of the food was delicious, but the service left something to be desired. We had to ask for soy sauce several times. One of the forks fell on the floor, and we had to ask for the fork to be replaced several times. The server dropped off food and immediately left. She did not stay long enough to see if we needed any other items to accompany our appetizers or entrees. As I mentioned before, most of the food was good. The steamed chicken, veggies, and rice were very delicious. The asparagus roll nagiri was yummy as well. The egg roll was stale and did not taste fresh.

Not a traditional Asian restaurant. Asked for pork belly buns as an appetizer and they came after our dinner. They were horrible. The pork belly was only the fat. And on one of them we didn’t get anything but a sliver.
Egg roll was mushy. The only good thing was their fried rice. Regardless, I won’t be coming back. The server was a friendly young girl.
