The Olive food truck in Buena Vista is fantastic! They have a nice setup with seating tables, though be aware it gets quite busy around lunchtime, so plan accordingly.
I thoroughly enjoyed my chicken shawarma ($14) – it was incredibly good, fresh, and served piping hot. We also tried the mac and cheese bites and the kids’ “nuggets and fries” (both $7.50 each), and everything was delicious. The portion sizes were generous, and the fries were perfectly cooked, cut, and seasoned.
A huge highlight for me were the specialty sauces they have on the table: beet, tomato, and mango habanero. These hot sauces are absolutely amazing and really elevate the meal!
Parking is a breeze in Buena Vista, with plenty of free public parking nearby. Just park your car and take a short walk to the truck.
I was very happy with both the quality of the food and the reasonable pricing. Definitely 5 stars for this excellent food truck experience!

Amazing food. Falafel was cooked perfectly. Best gyro I’ve ever had. Meat tasted very fresh and the sauce was amazing. Don’t forget about the bowls! Sitting is outside and is limited!

The head chef is incredibly patient and friendly, really makes the customers feel welcome. He kindly accommodated a complicated order from my group. Furthermore, the food is just delicious. Such unique falafel, and warm, crisp pita. Love the outdoor picnic vibes.

Must stop spot in buena vista! Amazing ambience plus food is amazing! Staff is so friendly, they even give our dog little treat! Food is fresh and serve fast. Gyros, fried Mac and cheese and fried mushrooms!!! so so good! Lots of picnic tables as well! Clean and so nice! You better stop by and you will experience delish dishes!!!!!

We were hungry for Mediterranean food and we are staying in Salida right now. This place popped up and we saw the killer reviews. 5minutes later, we were in the car driving here.
This place didn’t disappoint! Readily available street parking, plenty of shaded picnic tables and a clean environment greeted us. Michael (one man show!) was not only friendly, but also made sure our timelines were short.

Was driving down Main Street in Buena Vista looking for a fast food stop to grab some lunch and go to the park and eat. I seen this place tucked in and I stopped. Wow I am not sorry, the food is great, the service was fast, the server is a cheerful guy. The outdoors seating was relaxing.
And clean.
Mediterranean food is always refreshing.

We visited Buena Vista and the downtown area. With a plethora of restaurants, we happened upon an outdoor setup of food trucks. The gyros at The Olive were massive and well prepared. They reminded us of the authentic Greek gyros in Santorini. We will be back next time we pass through this town.

We enjoyed the Tanimal Bowls, and the kids got the classic wraps. Generous portions that will fill your tummy. It’s an open space seating and only a few tables.

I came by 2 times on the same week. Incredible food! The pickles are just something else and the falafel is delicious! Definitely a great option during spring or summer, wish I could eat this all year long!
The staff is super friendly and the vibes are always awesome. I was internally blasting to the music they had inside the food truck.
