Partially covered patio with a fire pit is easily one of the best in the city for kicking back a little. The food is great, especially the meatloaf, but it’s a small kitchen and this place is bar-forward. Service is usually fast and knows what they’re doing; many are long term employees.
The social atmosphere is generally warm, but can get some clique type issues or have some lore complications. The crowd is very outwardly politically left, so if you have strong objections to those opinions or identity politics, maybe choose another place.
Prices are a little lower than downtown, but it’s not a particularly cheap place to eat and/or drink.

The food here is amazing! The service is alright. Even if it’s not super busy it takes them a while to get to you. Beautiful bar and kitchen.

We were visiting our son and tried this place on a whim. So glad we did! Such a cute little place and the food was excellent. My husband had the steak & eggs, my son had the breakfast bowl, and I had the Philly Cheesesteak. Everyone enjoyed their food! You should definitely be aware that they do charge a surcharge if you use a card to pay. We saw the sign by the door after we were done, but it was not clear before we went inside or before we paid. Wish we had been told. Overall, I would absolutely eat here again. The food and the staff were both amazing!

Food is good. Service is decent. Here is the problem. They are passing on their merchant fees from Visa & Mastercard on to their customers which is against their signed charter agreement with both Visa and Mastercard. It cleary states being able to accept Visa and Mastercard as a merchant cost this much! It is a privilege you must pay these fees and you may NOT pass these onto tour customers to recoup said fees from the merchant agreement. Well if you use either here they are doing just that. Charging you so they can be a merchant with Visa and Mastercard. If they do not stop they will get their ability to accept those forms of payments and their merchant charter taken away! From Visa and Mastercard. They have now been reported for charging a Visa Employee fees for using their Visa at this restaurant. You charged the wrong customer. Good luck keeping your ability to accept those payments. If you cant afford the privilege do not sign up as a merchant with Visa and Mastercard! Very rarely do people carry cash anymore and there is a reason for that. Its a shame merchants like this abuse their customers, Visa & Mastercard. If you go to any merchant and are charged a “surcharge” for using you card call Visa and Mastercard directly and ask to speak to merchant Services or tell them you want to report being charged a “surcharge for using your Visa or Mastercard. Then make a complaint about the surcharges against the business. Do not let people take advanatage of you. It is not your job to pay their Merchant fees.

We stopped in for a late lunch and we loved it here. This is a fun neighborhood bar with great food, strong drinks, and fun staff. We had a fabulous mule and we shared a giant plate of nachos. Everything was fantastic. I can’t wait to go back.

Their turkey tavern sandwich was so good! The crunchy chips and pickle were a perfect side, I would come back just for this sandwich. We loved the outdoor patio, it was quiet and peaceful. Our waitress was great!

Very late night eats! They have a mashed potato, bacon, and broccoli grilled cheese!! Ohhhh man what a creation. And our bartender/server that evening was above and beyond accommodating to everyone.

Friendly service, and good food! Warning they add a surcharge to any non-cash payment, both credit and debit cards!
We went for dinner and we both ordered the French Dip. It is absolutely one of my favorites and it did not disappoint. We also tried the Tavern Nachos with chicken! These things were amazing and a solid choice! Our server was great which added to the experience.
Personal view as a consumer, the card fee should be factored into to the cost of doing business. I have seen businesses offer a discount with cash payment which comes across a lot better but business are getting out of hand with the surcharge.
I recommend the food, and it’s a great space.

The food and atmosphere was good. I would love to come back I had a pizza burger and alcoholic drinks I gave a tip as well

The food was good and the drinks were decent enough, not too strong though. The atmosphere is cozy. There is free parking. One pool table here. We love how wide the doors open, so that you can have the feel of being outside while still inside. Great bands play here!! Kudos to 90s music!!
