They were quite busy, as everyone else probably had the same idea as us and we waited a good 25-30 minutes before we were able to get seated. Upon being seated we were greeted promptly and ordered our meals in a timely manner.
Each dish comes with complementary bread, a salad or minestrone soup, your pasta dish of choice, and then dessert, vanilla or spumoni ice cream. I opted for the pot pourri, as it had a nice variety of sauces so I could sample each one.
I usually get the mizithra cheese and browned butter pasta, as I have been before, and that sauce ultimately my favorite. The butter is flavorful, perfectly salted with a perfect blend of the aromatic mizithra cheese. The broccoli with this blend is equally as delicious too. The clam sauce was surprisingly subtle, but the clams itself remained flavorful. And the meat and marinara sauces were nothing to brag at home about, but they were still delicious as my son enjoyed his meat sauce spaghetti.
The spumoni ice cream is their classic flavor that I recommend everyone try. It’s a blend of pistachio, cherry, and chocolate ice cream and delicious when paired all together. You can get vanilla elsewhere easily, but spumoni is definitely a specialty flavor they offer and you don’t want to miss.
Will definitely be back!
The decor was the same as the old location, and probably some of the furniture was brought over to this location.
Lunch service was good thank you to our server Adam, though I think they are slightly understaffed for this time of day.
Today I had the meat lovers which had two meatballs, Italian sausage, in a meaty marinara sauce, which also came with a small side salad and ice cream.
Here’s a hack. Order the vanilla ice cream and ask for a small portion of Browned butter for a delicious topping.
Meal was delicious just like I remembered it in the 1980s, but could use some updating.
Overall, would I come back again on a normal basis like I used to back in the 80s and 90s? probably not,
Feel free to follow me as I tour the world looking for delicious food experiences.

The restaurant was clean and the bathroom was immaculately clean which was nice. The only suggestion I have is to place the Spaghetti with Spicy Meat Sauce back onto the menu as I had to just have the Spaghetti with Rich Meat Sauce which is quite bland in comparison.not this restaurants fault – just what we experienced.
Due to food allergies, I only ever eat the Spaghetti with Rich or Spicy Meat Sauce so if you are reading other reviews that I post, the consistency of only eating one item on the menu is always the same. I usually rate the OSF’s I visit by Quality of Food, Quality of Service and Cleanliness.
Quality of Food as average rated by my party of three others and myself is 6.5/10.
Quality of Service was rated 8/10 as averaged by my party and I.
Cleanliness was 9.5/10.
Overall was a nice evening with spouse and friends. We made this special excursion from our 17 days in Maui just to eat here to say that we did. The server seemed a bit disinterested in this but to be fair, this isn’t his bucket list item, it’s mine, so I get it and won’t fault him for that, however, we have left bigger tips for servers that engage us about our journey through this franchise.
Last bit is that this Company is missing out on a huge marketing opportunity to have mementos for each restaurant. I would have loved to buy an OSF Honolulu shirt or hat or something but sadly you can’t buy specific things from the restaurant. I know there are others out there like me that are working on this list as I am and would be nice to have a small article to help the memories.
Old spaghetti Factory has long been touted a “family friendly” restaurant so how is it that there are no changing stations?
My wife and I came for lunch and unfortunately my son had a blowout. No one wants that but it happens. Imagine my disbelief upon entering the restroom to find no changing station in the restrooms and no family room.
Unfortunately, there we were in the dining area doing our best to clean our 2 month old. We honestly felt bad for other patrons but what could we do? We were seated at the very end of the restaurant and there was some privacy as we pulled two chairs together and had our foldable changing pad.
Our server and host seemed to have no empathy when we asked about the changing station.
