Top-notch food with top-notch service!
I’ve eaten a lot of high-end steaks in my time, none better than their filet mignon. And the steak wedges or what I call “potato wedges” was spot on. The sauce was really good as well. Let’s not forget the bread man o man!
We will definitely be back soon!

I was amazed at the class and service. I had the filet mignon and it was great. Everyone in my party was really satisfied with the food and service. We appreciate the experience.

My sister dragged me here on christmas eve and the experience was quite jarring: as I devoured a perfect filet and delicious dessert course (and downed half a bottle of pax Syrah) I was forced to seriously consider that five decades in she might have finally developed a palate. Good job sis, but you’ll have to repeat this for me to not rule it out as random luck.

Best breakfast buffet! Fresh, perfectly cooked hot breakfast. French toast was divine, bacon crispy and the sausage and gravy was to die for. Service was excellent and everyone was super kind. Just an all around wonderful experience!

The new fall season comfort food menu is perfect. The food descriptions, both written and verbal are so enticing. And, the food stands up to the description. Really, this menu is so well thought out for this time and this place. We had the PEI Cattail Mussels, complemented with very thinly sliced okra strips that were flash fried, cornmeal veggies (squash), Duck and Dumplings (puts chicken and dumplings to shame), and Pork Fried Perloo (a southern take on pork fried rice using Carolina rice) which has been a low country staple for centuries. Really a great experience. We were seated in the front area which is much quieter than the main room. We highly recommend The Nu Wray for an authentic experience.

Waited about 20 minutes for them to bus a table that my part of 10 was going to sit and eat the breakfast buffet but they would take a little wait like 5 minutes take a little more wait and then take a little more and then just quit. So we walked down to the Carriage House and did not regret our decision.

The restaurant in the newly restored NuWray Hotel is a fantastic dining experience, with great dishes on the menu that are both modern and a nod to the storied history of the 1833 hotel. Every dish that we had for dinner was delicious. Great food coupled with attentive service makes dinner at the NuWray not to be missed. We look forward to many return visits.

Really lovely meal tonight at the restaurant. The cornmeal fried spring onions were fantastic, and the house-made porcini cavatelli was perfectly cooked. It’s so lovely to see how the place has been restored, and to be able to wander through the hotel common areas when visiting the restaurant. We’d love to see them add some dessert wines (we were told the only sweet wine was available by the bottle) and after-dinner coffee bar options to the menu. Our server clearly felt bad letting us know that there was no option for an after-dinner espresso, just regular coffee. Would also love to see one more vegetarian main course available. Overall a really special place. Can no longer imagine downtown Burnsville without it!
