We were passing through the area and saw the restaurant on the map. We hesitated a bit before going in since we were with three children, but it was truly an exceptional experience. The service from beginning to end was excellent, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend it. The best part of this visit was the onion soup; we could only return to this place for the soup. Basically a perfect neighborhood pub. Friendly people and relaxed atmosphere. The food was so good we went back the next day. Our waitress was super nice and helpful. I wish it wasn’t 11 hours away. The prices are reasonable especially considering the quality of the food. Try the Mother Mohawk and the Bratwurst sandwiches. The snapping turtle soup is excellent.

The Old Mohawk in German Village is a great spot to enjoy a delicious meal with good friends. The service is quick and friendly, and the full bar is a nice bonus. You can’t beat the dinner prices for the area, and both the bratwursts and burgers (salads as well) were excellent. Come for the cozy, casual atmosphere and stay for the great food.
