The artichoke dip is not an overpowered cream cheese mess that a lot of places make these days. Very tasty. The one that takes the cake and the reason for the review is the hot honey crispy chicken sandwich with a pretzel bun, mango pineapple hot honey bbq sauce was insanely good! The chicken on the sandwich was phenomenal as well. We’ve been here 15-20 times and always get something different.

This was our first visit and do plan on visiting again. We used to love coming to this location when it was Arnies. One of my favorite meals from Arnies was the Scandinavian Wrap and how neat to see that The Old Mill has it. I was not disappointed! It is quite large and could easily be a shareable meal. I also got the garden salad with poppyseed dressing and it was amazing! My daughter got the same sandwich with the chips. However the chips were nasty. They had almost a burnt taste . . . dry and just no good taste to them at all. My husband was thankful he got the upgrade with his hamburger to the truffle fries and those were quite good. Overall we enjoyed our meal very much.
Our waitress was very cheerful and attentive. Some restaurants now have it where the servers show the bill on their tablet and do not give a receipt. Many pay with a card but we were paying with cash and she just stood there, wanting to be paid. It was an awkward moment until my husband said we will need a few minutes. It is hard to calculate a tip with someone standing right there. We much prefer getting a bill than being put on the spot to pay.
Despite this, the meal was good and we will be back!

Stopped in for lunch this past Thursday…first time since it was Arnie’s Old Mill. Similar menu, still Arnies ownership, great value, food and service. No complaints. The Lunch 2-for-$12.90 is a good value! Highly recommend.

My friend and I went here for the first time and we were quite impressed. The decor was very clean white walls Honey Wood beams with a view rate of the river going to Rockford.
The staff were unbelievably helpful patient and polite, which in today’s world is a rarity. The food was amazing! I had the barbecued chicken pizza and my friend had the French dip sandwich what she gave me a bite of and it was heavenly. One would think their lunch portions would be small but they were so large I had to take a box home with me. The prices are more than reasonable and their baguettes are freaking amazing.
I will most definitely be returning to this establishment.

What a great addition to rockford. Atmosphere was fabulous the view is great and the food was unique and good. The margaritas was top 5 for this margarita lover. I do wish the front door had a seat yourself or a wait to be seated sign it was confusing until someone came.

I had an incredible experience with outstanding service and reasonable pricing at this restaurant. They offer a great assortment of food and drinks, including rotating soups. I even got to speak with the owner, who was very kind. Overall, it’s better than Arnie’s and much more affordable than many other options in Rockford, all while maintaining a sense of class. I ordered the French onion soup along with the pesto grilled cheese. The soup was phenomenal, boasting a savory flavor with a nice, fresh undertone. While the sandwich was a bit too toasty for my taste, it was very fresh.

We loved Beer City Bread in Kentwood so we decided to go to The Old Mill since it’s closer to where we live. Our waiter (didn’t catch his name) was very cool and accommodating and when I asked him if they do anything special for birthdays, he surprised the table with a slice of whiskey cake and vanilla ice cream, whipped topping and drizzled with caramel sauce. It was a delight!

Had dinner at the Rockford location yesterday. I was really in the mood for a good fish dinner. I ordered the walleye, which at most restaurants it is usually a sizable portion. Although it tasted good, the size was the equivalent of a fish which cut diagonally. I was not impressed for the price. Other items I saw at the tables around me looked good and a decent portion. The service is good and restaurant was clean. I may try it again someday. But not in a hurry to go back.

Very noisy inside, so I prefer to take out .The takeout could be so much better if they would line the paper containers since things like the risotto are wet. I lose all the juice into the container which then gets so soggy it gets a hole. I really hope you will remedy how you package take out. It seems very common sense to make sure you have the proper containers. If not, please line them from now on! Thank you! A loyal customer!
