So we have been to the old mill 2x now. The first time we had a group of roughly 12 and had a pretty long wait for our food. My husband and I were last to get our food. It wasn’t just a normal last in the group either, we had to ask about our food and by the time we got it everyone else was done and had boxes. When I asked the waitress about our food she said “Yeah, the tickets don’t all get done at the same time in a group it’s just whichever comes next.” How does that make any sense?! People in a group come to eat dinner together as a family and your restaurant decides it’s ok to serve each if them at random times? Now the latest time, last night, was absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Right when we got there, before we sat down she took our drink order so I’m thinking, oh this is going to be better. Wrong! It took 2 HOURS….yes, you read that right, 2 HOURS to get our food. We had the same waitress as last time and she comped one parties food but they paid for their drinks. When I asked if there could be something done when we got our check, that we had waited 2 hrs for our food she proceeds to tell me “Well, you only waited maybe an hour and 10 minutes. I comped his because I knew they were the first ones to order. I can’t comp everyone.” How long did she think it took for everyone to order…she went right down the line at the same time. It’s not like she left and came back to order the others. At this point I was extremely frustrated… What kind of business treats their customers like that. She came back and said the best she could do was take our four drinks off… So the food we waited 2 hrs for we still had to pay for but oh let’s comp the drinks. Mind you once she gave the meals to the people next to us in our group (which ordered after us and then one of their meals was wrong) she didn’t come back to the table until bringing the checks. We were without drinks for I don’t even know how long. Even the waitress that brought the food never asked if we needed more drinks… She was also rude when I asked if my food was started because we had been waiting. ( I was going to cancel the order) All she had to say was “Well, we have been busy.” No apology, just a rude excuse. There were multiple people in our party that didn’t get their food till after us or they ran out of what they ordered and came an hour after ordering to tell them. The one that ordered first that was comped was a burger! Even appetizers, they brought out hours after we ordered. There was so much wrong with the visit and I left fuming. We will not be returning, which is sad because the food was good. I’m just not willing to wait 2+ hrs to get my food. If the waitress would’ve come over and informed us the kitchen was backed up and stayed around to make sure drinks were good and to show she cared that we were sitting there waiting this long it might have been a little different. If a business can’t keep up then you need to limit how many people you have come in. I’m only giving 1 star because they comped something.

Just like many other reviews, food service was slow. We waited one hour and 15 from the time of placing our order to when we got it. Worse we saw another table that ordered food 20 minutes after us get their food 10 minutes before. To their credit they tried to make it right by not charging us for one of the meals. We both got tenderliins and they were delicious.

Absolutely amazing. Friendly staff, not much of a wait. Found this place mentioned in a pork tenderloin FB group and had to check it out while heading home along I70. Definitely recommend.

The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The portion sizes were also large. They are currently under construction but it looks like the outdoor patio and seating area are going to be awesome when it’s completed. Some of the best food that I’ve had in the area.

They have very good food and well priced. I feel that it’s ok to take kids also. I have been there several times with my church family after church before. I have had my order messed up before but they have always made it correct with no problem or with any attitude, it was handled very well and I still continue to go.

Don’t know how long they been serving food but took fore ver for a dinner salad to come out. The steak was good and the potato was nice size. The quesadillas were large and well stuffed. But a little cold and cheese not melted all the way. Chicken strips were large and meaty very good. Had to correct our order some was either overlooked or wrong sauces. Will give a couple weeks before trying again maybe they will get the kinks worked out. Wings were good cooked well and nice buffalo flavor.

I only popped in briefly to inquire if they were still serving food. It was after midnight, so it was a long shot. Of course they were already done for the night. So we stayed for a drink and visited with the bartender. She was so funny, nice, and pleasant. We checked the place out and she told me they have bands there some Saturday nights. I recommended my favorite band Van Waylon Band to her. She said she would tell the manager about them. She said she never heard them herself but had heard of them through others. Maybe one of these weekends I’ll go back and see “my fav band, Van Waylon. Fingers crossed.
