We happened on The Old 27 lce Cream while traveling through the area and what a great find! The ice cream “flight” gave us the chance to try four flavors (Key Lime Pie, Lemon Sorbet, Triple Chocolate, and Carrot Cake) and all the flavors and textures were great. The seating is outside under shade and they offer a small mini-golf course in back. The town of Decatur seems worth a visit as well: they were having a weeks-long sculpture walk/contest and a Bavarian party the night we stopped.

I stopped here to get my kiddo a little ice cream treat to end the week. The service was good, the attendant was friendly, especially to my boy. They had a number of options of ice cream, as well as soft serve and dipped. They also have a solid food menu. We only tried the one ice cream, though.

Drove from ohio about an hour away. Very good ice cream. Very good ladies working the window. Love that they have activities for the kids. Corn hole and putt-putt. Look forward to coming back really soon. Love places like this. Thank you for the great hospitality.

They have such good ice cream and it’s really good. It’s a small business, but the staff is amazing. The mini golf course they have is also fun for in the summer.

Great atmosphere. Daughter loved going inside and picking out her ice cream.
Service was real slow. Inside waiting for me was too hot. Put put course needs attention.
Price is high i think especially for soft serve. Paid $29 for a 3 regular sundaes, 1 regular ice cream in cup and a sprite. Will go back for my kids due to the look of the place but I would rather go to dairy queen for better ice cream and price.
