Great spot for cocktails and pub fair! After seeing a TikTok video on their double smash burger specials, then hearing a few good things recently we took the drive over to check this place out for dinner in old town Burlington. Friendly staff introduced themselves, great tap list and specialty cocktail menu we ordered drinks prompty. We ordered the smash burger of course and the fish n chips. Good food, recomended!!

Hubby and I stopped in after work for a drink and a bite to eat. The drinks were great and we shared fish and chips. The tartar sauce was delicious, fries were cooked perfectly and the coleslaw was yummy too. The waitress was great as well! We will be back for sure.

Stopped here for lunch, excellent food. Had the Beer Cheese burger. It’s very tasty but messy. Fries were cooked perfectly, and the garlic aioli was fantastic. My daughter had the shrimp tacos, and she said they were also excellent. Serving sizes were large. Service was a bit on the slow side, but overall, I would definitely recommend it.

Great place to finish up the work day. Their happy hour menu is awesome, I had the crispy shrimp and it was amazing. I was told to try the garlic aoli with it and it paired perfectly. I came in the next day to eat that dish a second time. Great place, quiet and clean. I will definitely be back.

I’ve waited nearly a year to try this place. I live about an hour away and was nearby so decided to finally give it a try. Got two appetizers, an entree, and a personal pitcher for about 60$. My boyfriend wasn’t super impressed with his burger… he ordered the jalapeño popper burger.. it had more cream cheese than he would prefer but he was able to get through it for the most part. The cheese curds were phenomenal . The most authentic he’s had since moving here from the Midwest. My pretzel was amazing, although the beer cheese lacked, especially for the price. As a service worker/ bartender I felt the service was also not the best. I usually excuse a lot of small stuff others don’t overlook but not being told any drink special, or even being given a cocktail menu it was hard to know what to order and it took about 30 minutes to even get a cocktail because of the lack of checking in by the employee caring for us . The drink I did order was phenomenal the bartender knew how to make a drink, however I feel less conversation with the other worker and more interaction with the guests would’ve been favorable. Food 7/10 drinks 9/10 service 5/10 not rude but the interaction gave the vibe the bartender didn’t enjoy their job very much .

I had no idea this place was a bar, but I’m glad I went it to try it. I’ve been here twice and the food is quality-made and tasty. For pricing, expect to pay about $17 for a meal and $9+ for a drink. They have great happy hour (they call it “office hour”) prices for drinks and two lunch specials for food. One of the tastiest burgers I’ve ever had for $12 (lunch special pricing, otherwise $17). The cinnamon sugar sweet potato fries were also excellent (happy hour pricing $8). The fish tacos were good, but I wanted something a little more for the price they were. I tried a margarita that my friend said was well-made for a margarita, but I like sweeter drinks so it wasn’t for me; not their fault, just personal preference. The staff are kind and have checked on me multiple times on each visit. I look forward to coming back again!

I visited The Office Tavern on a Saturday night. We chose our seats. I havent been in here since it was the Varsity. The place feels more open, cleaner, updated. It looks great. The bathrooms were clean and updated.
My date and I ordered the spinach dip appetizer, fish tacos with a side of Mac and cheese, and a burger with smoked blue cheese and a side of sweet potato fries. For drinks I ordered the Margarita Flight and my date had a gin & tonic.
The margarita flight advertised a classic margarita, spicy pineapple, guava, and a prickly pear. All of them were unbalanced; heavy on tequila, light on the advertised flavor. The classic margarita, guava, and prickly pear -each tasted like watered down juice with tequila. The pineapple margarita tasted like the juice had been stored uncovered in a fridge with either old food or pungent foods. I found the margarita flight disappointing.
My date said the fish tacos were good. The Mac and Cheese side was creamy, but bland. My burger was stacked high with onion. The only sauce was the garlic aioli spread on the bottom. I removed half the onion. The burger patty was thick and well cooked. No pink in the center. The patty itself was under-seasoned. It would have been helped by some basic salt and pepper. Thankfully, the blue cheese flavor is strong and gave the burger a kick. The sweet potato fries side was mid. The fries were well cooked, but again, lacked flavor. I’m sensitive to salt, and even I think the fries needed salt.
For those of us on the thicc side, the bar stool seats are far too small. They dug into the back of my thigh. I felt like I was sliding off my chair. There are lower tables with regular patio chairs.
The service was fantastic. The server was attentive and friendly.
Maybe we visited on an off night. For a Saturday night, the place was pretty quiet. I can tell that someone has put their heart (and wallet!) into updating and improving this bar and the ambiance. I hope that they get things figured out in the kitchen and the bar so that people make this Tavern a destination again.

I visit The Office Tavern often. The staff are always welcoming, friendly and responsive! We are never rushed which I appreciate! The environment is beautiful. Food and drinks are consistently excellent! I am sure you cannot go wrong with any food or drink choice. Draft Coors Light is always $3! Happy hour is fun and the prices are great! Love seeing happy guests of all ages. I have never had anything other than a great experience! The Office Tavern is a gem!
