Went to Broken Bow to celebrate my 30th bday.Wanted to find a dive bar like we have back in east Texas since most places by our cabin are more like restaurants. A local recommended this place and it did not disappoint! Pool table, darts, can smoke inside, delicious pizza, jukebox, and friendly locals. Decent beer and liquor selection with drink specials. The bartender Robyn was welcoming and gave us great service. If you’re looking for a little hole in the wall while passing through Idabel, this place is worth stopping!

Wish I could give zero. To know this place wouldn’t allow a service dog into the building for a person with Disabilities is outrageous. So zero stars from me for the fact he didn’t get food, got awful service before being allowed to go in, and atmosphere because turning someone away with a service dog is Illegal. Who wants to go to a place that doesn’t care for those with disabilities and does Illegal things regarding those with disabilities?

We came at 2:30pm on our bikes, and the owner opened up the bar for us. We had a really good time with great service! We are from Texarkana area and may come back on another Sunday afternoon ride! Thanks Wade for making us feel at home!

Would not recommend this place. If a person with a service dog, whether it be a visible disability or not, should never be refused service. Those K9s have a job, life saving jobs. Imagine being someone who has a service dog being denied from entering because they have a dog. They are already trying to live with a disability, which is hard in itself. So imagine how one would feel when they actually try to go out and enjoy themselves while supporting a business. Not only is it illegal but disrespectful.

So very disappointed that in 2025 this establishment still lacks understanding, empathy, and compassion for people with disabilities that have service dogs. They turned away a young man and his dog even though they were advised he was a service dog and to top in all at that time they would have been the only customer!! DO BETTER!!

What Is a Service Dog?
A service dog helps a person with a disability to lead a more independent life. According to the Americans with Disabilities Act  (ADA), a service dog is “a dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for a person with a disability.”

“Disability” is defined by the ADA as a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities, including people with history of such an impairment, and people perceived by others as having such an impairment. The ADA prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability in employment, state and local government, public accommodations, commercial facilities, transportation, and telecommunications.

I am deeply disappointed by this establishment’s refusal to allow entry to a patron accompanied by a legally recognized service animal. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), individuals with disabilities have the right to be accompanied by their service dogs in all public areas, and that includes this business.

Denying access not only shows a lack of understanding of the law, but also a disturbing disregard for human dignity and inclusion. This wasn’t just a poor decision; it was a violation of federal civil rights.

I strongly urge the management to educate their staff on ADA compliance immediately. This kind of discrimination has no place in any public-facing business. Do better!
