Our family had an incredible time at the OD! The staff were so kind and accomodating of our small kids. Service was top notch from beginning to end – our server Gabe was such a delight! He was very knowledgeable of the menu and gave us excellent recommendations. We loved the papardelle, rigatoni, short rib gnocchi, pizza, and chocolate cake with gelato. All heavenly! Thank you Gabe and OD for making dinner so memorable.

Wowsers! This was a great restaurant to enjoy a Sunday afternoon brunch. The food is carefully and thoughtfully prepared – the service was excellent, portions were generous and the cozy feeling of the restaurant left us satisfied – both in our heart and our tummies. The Farro and chicken plate was amazing – sprinkled with peanuts and roasted carefully with brussel sprouts – it was really good. Our waiter Drew was spot on accurate with food order and delivery. This was our first time to visit and I would highly recommend. Michelin 2025 restaurant. Nautical motif throughout. The hostess stand and restrooms are accessed by stairs. I did not inquire about a Lift (elevator) but if there was one – it was not clearly marked. Priced very reasonably for the quality of food.

We loved the outdoor sitting – with heaters so you aren’t cold. Great atmosphere, excellent service. I expected more taste and flavor from the dishes. They are good but not flavorful enough to my taste. Very good drinks menu. Restrooms are on the second floor but there is an elevator available. A bit inconvenient if stairs are an issue. Dog friendly if you are sitting outside.

We were eager to try this place. We had just finished our 5K on the Island and thought hey let’s do this! To be honest, it was during brunch, so to be fair it was just OK. We really enjoyed the Scone platter to start. We all loved the house made lattes. But our dishes left us undecided as a group. The one dish we thought would be amazing was sent back. Beet Cured Salmon, salmon was inedible. We enjoyed the Breakfast Sausage but the grits were kind of missing, too much dairy in those. Good company alas was had and we will go for dinner soon!

We had a fantastic experience at OD last evening. We walked in and were seated at a high top in the bar area quickly. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, especially our server Sam, who was extremely knowledgeable and engaging, walking us through the menu and providing excellent suggestions.
Everything we ordered was very good, including two pizzas, a delicious ricotta gnocchi, and their grouper special of the day.
OD was on our “must try list” while visiting the area and it’s easy to see why this restaurant came so highly recommended. We will certainly be back when we visit the area again.

The service was excellent. Cocktails were fantastic. It was a little loud for conversation, but it was also a very busy. Food was very good, with just 2 minor comments. 1- the Carolina Gold Rice Risotto was surprisingly bland. Both for the type of rice and the fact that it was cooked risotto style. 2- I understand a chef not wanting to change specials, as it would change the flavor and essence of what they were creating, however it was a little disappointing that they would not leave off a garnish that my father has a strong aversion to. We were not the type of customer to lie and call it an allergy. However the dishes that we all did order were nicely presented and tasted good. I highly recommend the Chowder and the Pizzas! Overall I will still go back and I will still recommend the O.D.

We were able to get a table on a Friday night at Obstinate Daughter after a 30 minute wait, so we were excited to try this popular restaurant. The restaurant is cozy, has a good ambiance and feels familiar. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. We had two items we saw on social media and one special, the Brocollini. The broccolini was my favorite followed closely by the Radiatore (Vodka pasta). I will the pasta lived up to its hype. The Old Danger pizza was good but nothing super memorable. The drinks were also good. Overall, great experience.

There’s always something to say about really good food. Very rare do I find great food that’s not in a metro. I haven’t had gnocchi that good since back home.
Everything was excellent!
The meatballs were so perfect, it just wants you to never cook again.
Highly recommended. But I’m sure everyone knows that.

The other reviews are right…this place was so delicious! The service, food, and cozy vibe were all amazing. My favorite dish was the farro & Brussel sprout salad (I never knew something so simple could have so much flavor! & the crunchy peanuts were such a pleasant surprise!). Our second favorite was The Rutledge pizza. We also ordered the radiatore pasta, pesce a la plancha, and chocolate mousse. All yummy 🙂

One of our favorite dining experiences during our trip to the Charleston area. We started with a seared seafood sausage in tomato butter appetizer that was fantastic followed by the Ricotta gnocchi with short rib ragu and The Rutledge pizza. We finished by sharing their pecan bourbon crème brûlée. This restaurant deserves every ounce of praise it receives. They also have an excellent Italian wine list.
