Our first comments walking in was how beautifully decorated it was. We were seated quickly and our server was friendly and efficient. The drinks were excellent, but the food is what I would return for. I want the recipe for the corn bread. It was unique, yet familiar and homey. The smoked Mac and Cheese was a favorite and the Berry Goat Cheese Salad was fresh and flavorful. My kids said the soft pretzel was the best they ever had, not too salty and very soft. My husband liked the pork shank but said the spice over-powered the other flavors.

Very nice trendy restaurant and bar. Can accommodate large groups of 10–20. There’s a private room upstairs that can hold up to 100 people. The Oak Barrel also takes reservations for groups of 12 or more. A wide selection of beers and liquor. They also have an extensive wine menu. I had the Lake Erie walleye platter today. The walleye was cooked just right. We came in the afternoon around 12:30 and it can get a bit loud. I found myself talking over/louder all the other chatter around. Our server was excellent. Fast, polite and attentive to our needs.

We came on Taco Tuesday and had one of each taco (pictured: cauliflower, chicken, and shrimp), along with the well-portioned cauliflower appetizer. The chicken was dry but the cauliflower, shrimp, and smoked beef were all good. They did not offer flights, which was odd because they had a decent selection of beer. Happy hour prices were only available in the bar, which took business away from other servers and forced customers to wait longer for food and service in the already busy bar area. Overall, the place was good for a quick bite before a movie, since it’s right next door to the Cinemark.

We stopped in before a movie and were really impressed! We started off with the Scarlet Margarita and the Paloma which were both delicious and refreshing. For an appetizer, we ordered the Truffled Pommes Frites, which were honestly some of the best truffle fries I have had. The herb mayo paired perfectly with them.
For our main dishes, we had the Seared Salmon and the Dr. Pepper Braised Pork Shank. Both were flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The atmosphere was great, and our server was fantastic. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Came on taco Tuesday around noon. Walked in without making any reservations and was seated quickly . Love the wood and modern rustic charm n oak barrel deco at the foyer. Large bar area on the right and you can’t miss the inviting turquoise sofa! If you are looking for a gastropub with a smokehouse and good selection of Whiskey, this place will not disappoint! Will definitely come back !

Came here on a business trip because their online menu had GFs and I have a gluten allergy Had the Filet. Swapped the blue cheese potatos for the garlic as preference. Everything was amazing. Cooked perfect, a crusted edge on the meat but still juicy, the brocollini were also perfect. 100% would come back. I scraped the plate clean! Also got the creme brule for dessert.
The resturaunts presentation and vibe were great as well.

We’ve been to this establishment on several occasions in the past and decided it was worth the 75 min drive for a birthday celebration. Did call ahead, which was great. Unfortunately, the menu did not live up to our past experience or expectations. Ribs were over sauced and rather fatty, tacos were not warm and the shells must have come straight from the bag to the plate. One of our companions did state the burger was delicious. Cocktails were just okay. Best part of the night was having the big pretzel and onion ring appetizer. Such a disappointment. Definitely not worth repeating in the future.

My son chose this place for his Bday.
My husbands Cuban was so small and only 2 thin pieces of meat. He didn’t bother eating it. Total waste of money.
Thankfully my club was big and pretty good. I gave him half of mine and he just left his there.
My son’s waffles and chicken tasted good but chicken was small for the high price. They didn’t put the powdered sugar or butter on it. And then took forever to bring out more syrup. The truffle fries was probably the hit of the table. Very expensive lesson learned.
UPDATE…….. their reply email asked that I reach out to correct the poor experience. I reached out as suggested. They have not contacted me. So what was the point in replying to me. I assume to make themselves look like they are trying to keep customers. Anyone else been contacted?
Update……..10//6/25. They finally sent a gift card to try them again. We went again and ordered their herb crusted chicken salad and the Truffled pommes fries appetizer. Fries were good like last time. The herb mayo with the fries is really tasty.
Their salads were large and very good as well.
Would like to try their Pitmaster meals or steaks but don’t want to be disappointed again. We shall see next time. Thank you for reimbursement for a bad experience.
