I didn’t have a steak but 4 stars for the candied bacon. I was expecting a few thin slices but it was a whole plate of thick cut pieces in a sweet sauce. The lobster mac & cheese and crab stuffed mushrooms were good, maybe not Gordon Ramsay good but decent. The portions were large, just the bacon or the mac by itself would have been enough for two to share or a whole meal for one person. +1 for the staff, very friendly and helped me out with a bag of ice so my leftovers wouldn’t go bad on the drive back to Salt Lake. Tira misu was really good too, enough rum to taste but not overpowering. I’d eat here again.

Eric our server, Adan the manager, and the host were all wonderful. I’m telling you, something has changed here since the old reviews were written. The ambiance was beautiful for Valentine’s Day (complete with a rose!). The huge porterhouse steak, brussel sprouts, salads with homemade ranch, and mashed potatoes were awesome! Porterhouse steaks are hard to get just right and they sure did it! We’re super impressed! We pay a lot for good steak dinners and this came close to the best we’ve had. I say give it a chance and if you love it give these guys a new review and help them out a bit. They deserve it!

Staff was very polite, conversational and quick to serve. Our main entrees were the Tomahawk steak and the lobster. These were great, even though my medium cooked steak was more on the rare side, I was ok with it. I like a less cooked steak better then more done anyway…missing the fifth star because the salad was a regular iceberg lettuce salad I can get any where and the bread was regular dinner rolls. Would expect a little more higher quality romaine salad and bread loafs. Overall this place is better then in the past, with a few more tweaks they may get the fifth star.

The food and service at The Nugget Steakhouse in Wendover, Nevada, was very good. All my food was cooked as ordered, was delivered quickly and was very good.
I was especially pleased with my waitress, who checked on me often and was quick to respond to any of my needs. She was also very pleasant and courteous. I will be eating here again.

Restaurant was very dimly lit to the point where even the waiter was squinting to see which meal was what. Advertised Wild Game like Buffalo and Ostrich but they were out of half the items in that section. When the food finally came out my steak was very undercooked, the vegetables were nearly raw and everything was cold throughout. The Elk had so much seasoning you could only taste the sauce it came with, not the $35 meat.
Overall i was very disappointed. Most meals average about $40 but I’ve gotten better quality from a mom and pop diner. Wouldn’t come back here even if they were paying me.

Worst meal I’ve had. Ever. Had to gag down the calamari the stuffed mushrooms had no flavor, my original choice of oysters was on the menu but they didn’t have them but based on the calamari I don’t know if they would have wanted them. The bottle of wine I ordered they didn’t even have a full bottle of it so they brought us an already opened one that obviously wasn’t stored properly….. sorely sorely disappointed. The calamari made me gag. Gag.

Coffee mug had lipstick , coffee had floaters. Now being as me and my sis we’re the only two it should not have had taken so long.
The food came out cold and late and wrong. ……Chili cheese fries were presented as a bowl of chili and and some chips. Offered to pay for the coffee and left the staring waitstaff standing. Would not try this restaurant again next time I am in wendover. Keep in mind this is only one man’s experience.

Worse restaurant experience. They don’t even serve a one star. I had their prime rib with my salad included which had rotten lettuce in the middle not once but three times. Didn’t even offer to replace it with a soup or anything else. Their service was extremely slow. To make things worse they said they couldn’t do anything because it was included in the meal. I have never heard of this before in any restaurant that I have gone. So disappointed after spending hundred dollars on our meal.
