The Northern Lake Tavern & Grill is a good place to grab a meal/spend time watching the sports games and enjoying a good environment at same time. There is plenty of seating inside and also offers outdoor Patio seating that over llooks a small lake. Inside are several games for kids and adults, plys pull tabs. This is a nice adder to this place.
I personally have been to this location many times over the last 20 years (not sure if same company this whole time) and has always been great experiences.
Parking lot is easy to get in and out of and offers several Handcap spots.
The staff have always been a pleasure and attentive.
Keep up this and I will keep stopping by when in area!

I was really disappointed with the food and service. We traveled nearly 45 minutes after seeing the good reviews, but it turned out to be such a disappointment. When I told them that the food was uncooked, they were rude to me. While I was explaining this to a lady, I told her the food was uncooked and she is mentioning that it was expensive, so we can’t don’t anything once it was prepared . She told me to “just try to eat it,” which I found unacceptable. When I said, “How can I?” she forcefully took my plate. I asked her to wait and what was happening

Perfect spot for lunch for my 2 kids and I. Was passing thru the town and opted to go here instead of the other nearby restaurant.
Interior was quaint and clean. Outdoor seating was spacious.
Our server was very friendly!
And without a doubt the food the great! Especially the ranch! Yum!

I was just at the northern lake tavern. I drove over an hour to get there because I saw an awesome review. I ordered the garlic chicken flat bread. It was amazing. Cooked to perfection. The manager jess and the owner were amazing. I’m so happy they recommend the garlic chicken flat bread. Looking forward to driving back for another awesome experience.

Food was really good. The poutine is awesome! In my photo you can’t see them but there’s big delicious cheese curds and tender meat under that gravy. Burger was medium rare just as ordered. The fries are good too.

This might be a sappy review for a tavern/grill, but they deserve it. We have been here SO many times, and the food is excellent every time. However, the service we received yesterday was so wonderful. We brought our pup to the patio as a part of her last day excursion before sending her off later in the afternoon. We didn’t tell anyone it was her last day to save tears on our end, but every staff member that passed us commented how cute she is. One staff members comment stuck with me that said “I can’t help but smile every time i look at you”. This comment made us tear up because our dog had cancer in her nose and she looked miserable. We got her the ultimate burger, which she demolished. She loved that and the tater tots. The outside of the northern is so beautiful so we got some last day pictures as well ❤️

Really disappointed.
We came here on Saturday and we were told it was going to be a 25 minute wait. Which is fine, its Saturday and they are busy.
30 minutes go by and the gal at the front called the name “Jenna” and Jenna is very similar to my name. So I walked up to her and I asked her if she meant to say Gianna, which then she replied and said “yes”, and kind of laughed and then walked away and disappeared for 5 minutes. After she finally came back, I asked her what was going on and she said oh I called the name Jenna even though I literally just asked her if she said my name.
Like, seriously? I JUST asked you.
My seat got taken at this point so now I had to stand. We had to stand for 30 extra minutes.
As we were standing waiting for a table, a group of people walked in and said “oh I wonder if that table is for us is reserved for us.” Even though we were told you can’t make a reservation over the phone which we called about an hour beforehand. So that was really infuriating.
An hour goes by in total and we FINALLY get a table which then you were served the food and it was very mediocre.The only saving grace that happened was our waitress was very kind , so I give her compliments on that regard.
This is very disappointing as the first time we came here , the food was exceptional even though the wait rather long.
$90+tip meal for 2 people after waiting 2 hours to actually eat is insanity.
Won’t be coming back for a while.
