Visiting here with my husband not knowing the place. We walked around and find this place open. The young host was friendly and asked if we like indoor or outdoor. We had so much time spending hike that day, we prefer indoor. It takes a while for the water to be served and it’s not even busy. We got our order for a while thinking we were forgotten. Thanks for the water keeps us hydrated. Food was served and it was delicious. No comment for the food. Just the service. I had Lobster Taco and my husband had Captains Burger.

This was such a great dinner after our trip in from Portland. We are staying at the Kimball Terrace Inn which adjoins the restaurant. Our server, Ranee, was extremely patient and helpful with directions up the mountain for the sunrise and time we should leave to see it. She was also great in recommending an NA beer for my brother in law which he loved! The lobster rolls were great! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming! Outdoor terrace dining looked so so great, overlooking Northeast Harbor, but it was chilly and spitting rain. Just as we were leaving, the band was setting up for live music.

I wasn’t blown away by my lunch here but it was good. I enjoyed the Acadia style lobster roll and my husband had a chicken sandwich. The fries had mounds of salt of them but the chips were good. We ate inside because there wasn’t room on the deck but that seems like the place to sit if you can snag a table.

Visited during our trip to Acadia/Bar Harbor. Was impressed with the ambiance as with the “Pound” in their name I was expecting it to be less casual than what it was. Lobster and steak were delicious and live band was entertaining. Rolls with the dinner were okay but everything but the corn and attentive service more than made up for it. We were there for 8p dinner and were done by 9:00p and that’s with me ordering a second lobster entree!

It’s certainly not the best and it’s also not the worst place in town. Our waitress took about 10 minutes to make her way to our table and then without asking us if we wanted drinks, she asked if we were ready to order. My questions about the lobster were not answered and I was told the price of the hard shell lobster and lazy lobster were the same, maybe it was, but that doesn’t make any sense. The lobster portion was ridiculously small for the price, it came with a tiny piece of corn and 4 very small potatoes and a small dinner roll. I think it was made for a tiny person??? The good news is, the chef was on the ball and cooked the lobster perfectly. My wife said her clam chowder was a 5 and insisted that I give at least 3 stars for this review. The service wasn’t worth 15% as we saw our waitress a total of 3 times, but she got her 15%….. My advice, drive out of town and find a roadside lobster stand that goes all out on a lobster dinner and charges half the price…….

Highest prices in the area but the atmosphere is great. The lobster roll is good but not that much more outstanding than other places in Arcadia, lukewarm fries and good coleslaw. What you get here is serenity but you’d probably get a better meal for cheaper at any roadside lobster shack

Just average at best. The food wasn’t great just ok. We got a couple sandwiches and spinach artichoke dip to take a break from seafood meals. If you’re staying in the hotel there it’s convenient but I wouldn’t bother driving there for the food or service. As others have said, very slow service. Server didn’t really bother to check back, we had our glass of water to start and nobody came back to offer a refill or order something else. After we put our order in for water and an appetizer we weren’t visited for another half hour to put our meal order in. We were very close to leaving and just trying a different spot down the block. The band playing was good and saved the experience a little bit.

This was the best meal of my stay here! Lobster tacos were recommended by another customer and that was the best advice I’ve ever taken. Definitely get the mussels appetizer too if you come here! The view of the water is another perk 🙂

The best lobster we had while in the area. So much so that we went back a second time. Also the clam chowder was DELICIOUS.

It took about 20 minutes for our server to come to our table and take our drink orders when we sat down. So service was slow off the bat. But after that, it was awesome! The Oysters were perfect with the homemade red wine/vinegar sauce. Crab cake was amazing and the Lobster roll was delicious! Would be back for sure! No complaints about the food at all.
