I will completely honest. We have been there twice and never will again. Waitress super nice but the food is awful. Greasy fish, unappetizing sides. My husband returned his RAW lobster tail three times and still raw. At least they charged us nothing for the 2 bites taken. Waitress is too good for this place and needs to go where she can actually make money.

Although it’s been quite awhile…
After yesterday’s visit, I will find another place!
Fish was over cooked, the slaw was bland, and they don’t have a liquor license so there’s nothing good to drink either.
Why did I drive 8 miles to go there???
Won’t ever be going back.

Not a bad spot but would be great if they liven it up. It was really slow mellow music and just not a good atmosphere for Friday night. We were just out for happy hour and a bite to eat but I felt like I was falling asleep after 2 hours in. Great fish fry though.
If you want a place that isn’t loud and rowdy or busy on Friday this is probably good.

If you are going to advertise steak and seafood they should have more than one steak ….only had strip steak…fish fry was excellent….dishwasher needs to do a better job at cleaning dishes I had crust on my fork that was rolled up in a napkin…and the second one I got was the same…third one was clean…Heidi the waitress was very pleasant but needs to be more informed on what goes with what….management needs to be there and properly train these people. I was going to bring my girls there for dinner but not now. The only thing was good was the fish fry.

Came in on friday night as a party of 6 who mostly ordered the fish fry dinners which were great. Large pieces of fish with awesome sides. Huge meal. This unassuming place is a local favorite.

It was a slow evening when I stopped in on a Wednesday. The bartenders were kind and attentive and the place was very clean. I split cheese fries and a steak quesadilla with a friend and both menu items were delicious. I only wish they had a wider selection of craft beers…the majority available were “lites.”

Never ever ever ever go to the Nite Cappe in Lackawanna for fish! The fish was RAW and my server wouldn’t believe me. It was actually frozen. Server was rude, didn’t apologize. She also swapped my glass and my husband glasses for refills. So my water has remnants of his pop in it. When I got my second fish almost a half hour later I’m not convinced it wasn’t the SAME fish. They also didn’t serve it with the bread and butter it was supposedly to come with. The sides tasted horrible. WWe will 100% never come back.

Other than we had to eat in the bar, the Friday Fish Fry special could not have been better. Beer battered was what I expected, a big piece of fish in a lite and crisp shell. What was unexpected was the 3 different sides that filled the plate. Macaroni salad, cole slaw, and poor-mans pierogi were almost as good as the fish. Others tried the grilled Lemon Pepper and the Cajun and were as satisfied as I. Great atmosphere in the bar too.

Yuck. Do not waste your money. We ordered 2 fish dinners – one broiled, one breaded.
1. The fish was very fishy and very over cooked not to mention dry and stiff. Both of our dinners were extremely gross.
2. The French fries were soggy and wet. Ew.
3. The lazy perogi was just noodles and canned mushrooms – gross.
4. $35. Down the drain.

Well last week I ordered two fish fry’s,one baked& one battered,and a chicken finger dinner,we loved it!! Then today I ordered the said,i was a few minutes early picking it up, So I paid first,it gave the bartender $42.00. When she gave me the dinners there were only two!! I asked where mine was? She had no idea,and I reminded her,i gave you the $42.00. I was a little upset as I had told her we were so pleased with last week’s dinners. So she didn’t even give me my money for my dinner back,it didn’t have time to wait for another one. Maybe we will try again in a few months.
