The New York Restaurant in downtown Harbor Springs offers an eclectic cuisine in a comfortable setting, overlooking Little Traverse Bay’s waterfront. We feature fine gourmet dining, a professional and attentive wait staff and talented bartenders. Our restaurant opens daily at 5:00 p.m. and features nightly appetizer and dinner specials. Please come as you are, we do not enforce a dress code. The New York is available for private parties throughout the year and we also offer a small private dining room for more intimate gatherings. Reservations are recommended, particularly on weekends, holidays and special events.

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner here for our daughters birthday. Called day before for reservations and they called back promptly to confirm. Service was great. Food was delicious. From NY strips to whitefish to lamb shank- everything was awesome! Highly recommend. Also appreciated their generous discount on entrees if seated before 5:30! Nice surprise

Old school Restaurant. Fried chicken is great. The rest of the food is OK. We have eaten at The New York for over 40 years. Food is good but we miss some of the older menu items no longer offered. I wish they would bring back the Monte Cristo sandwich, It was amazing. I understand styles and preferences change, but some things are classics. The last visit we had the steak and it was only OK.

Outstanding salmon, good filet mignon – great, attentive service at the bar! Certain entrees are b1g1 between 5:00 and 5:30. Reservations are apparently required, though – we got the last two seats at the bar, while 3 tables sat empty the whole time we were there. It got very loud and crowded at the bar toward end of our meal.

Charming spot for a night out. Service is excellent, friendly, warm and attentive. Order the halibut, or the ribeye, both are fantastic. Wish I would have saved room for the homemade apple pie. I am partial to this place, it holds a lot of memories for us. My husband proposed here and it was the first place we took our son on his first “nice dinner out”. I love it for date nights but it’s a great place to meet friends.

Elegant dining spot in a beautiful downtown Harbor Springs location. Very large wine selection for the sommelier in your group. Reservations strongly encouraged, keep your beach wear at home and dress up a bit. Rotating seasonal menu. The fried chicken dish with homemade egg noodles was fantastic, the roasted cauliflower Indian dish was so-so. An extra vegetarian option or two would probably be appreciated. On a busy Friday night, our main courses took over an hour to prepare so be aware and order a salad or appetizer.
