This is an old down home restaurant/diner. Menus are posted on the wall. They only accept cash or checks as payment. The food is grilled/cooked to order and delicious! My husband and I had burgers, and German fries(home fries with grilled onions). Yum! Expect a no frills experience with small booths and stools in the front of the restaurant and a room in the back. Great for those that like to try local eateries. We will be back again.

A true experience! Can’t think of the last time I ate at a place like this… so much yet so simple. Took a few coworkers here for lunch as we passed through town and they all very much so enjoyed the experience! It was up for sale at the time we visited, hopefully they find the right new owner(s) who change little if anything. A definite stop when I pass through again. I highly recommend you check them out!

This is likely the best diner in Washington, Indiana. The staff here are great, friendly, and professional. Make sure you visit with some of the locals while in here. You will encounter some rather fine folks here. We prefer their breakfast but their whole menu is pretty good. They have remodeled and improved their restrooms with two new spacious ares.

Service was friendly and inviting. This is a burger joint that puts any fast food chain to shame. If your in Washington Indiana this is a must stop place for food. Hands down!

White Steamer is one of a kind! The atmosphere is the old time diner setting with the grill within eye sight from every booth in the front. The food is something you can’t get anywhere else, not to mention how great the burgers are! I highly recommend taking the time to relax & enjoy yourself with a good ol fashioned milkshake!
