The Nest was lovely. We had a light brunch around 10:30 on a Saturday, and three of us where seated in just a couple minutes once we’d all met up. The biscuits and gravy was delicious, not mind blowing, but tasty and the eggs where a perfect soft scramble. The sausage was out of the ordinary and had a great size, flavor, and denser texture than standard breakfast sausage links. The iced tea and coffee flowed and the moderate bustle of patrons and friendly staff gave it a nice vibe. The price was lower than expected for the quantity and quality too and in a place like Santa Barbara or LA the same food and service would have been +5 bucks on everything except the drinks. Go here and have some of your favorite breakfast foods and some good drinks!

The food was amazing! I had the chicken strips and fries and it was great! Service was also great and the atmosphere is pretty good. I had 3 chicken strips but I couldn’t eat anymore. But I took the rest of the food home and I’ll reheat it at home. I really highly recommend this restaurant

First time to The Nest today and I’m already looking forward to going back! Met a friend and she ordered breakfast and I ordered lunch. The food is fresh and delicious and the servings are generous. We sat outside and enjoyed the good weather. The vibe is super relaxed and friendly and the service was a 10! Thank you Lori!

Very welcoming atmosphere…lots of friendly smiling faces. We had a short wait while they put together a table for 6. Food was wonderful and there was a lot of it. Plenty of coffee refills. Highly recommend!

After checking the reviews of this spot and other nearby brunch spots, I had to choose this one. And yet, I was still blown away! I didn’t realize how lovely the outdoor seating was going to be—it was a lovely surprise. The service was also stellar. We’re visiting from out of town, so the servers were sweet about making us feel so welcome.

As many reviewers have raved, the pork chile verde is outstanding. I am so picky, too, about my scrambled eggs—often, they are overcooked, but here it’s the perfect texture (I’d say it comes out scrambled “medium”). The balance of the flavors and textures was perfect; the tortilla chips were cut into strips, making this a really easy and unfussy dish to eat. Along with the salsa and the side of tortillas, this made me a really happy camper.

My significant other had the Western omelette (the omelettes, by the way, can be made into a scramble or skillet), and he was really happy with the ingredients and the dish overall. He especially loved his mimosa.

On our second visit in a week, we were just as pleased! There is a crab Benedict — you can order it as crab cake (which I did) or lump crab — and the hollandaise is unctuous and delicious (not a watered down version with fake butter). Just be sure to specify your yolk preference; because the crab cake was freshly pan fried, it cooked the yolk. But, the hollandaise was so delicious that it didn’t bother me. And, my partner was very happy with his French toast farm breakfast.

Definitely eat here!

I have been here 2x now and I think it might eclipse any other breakfast spot in Atascadero. I know I know there’s some good options in A Town but the service and delicious food here is just really top tier. Friendly and attentive waitresses, a nice menu with everything from skillet breakfasts, mexican food and sweets! Food arrives hot and the portions are shareable! When the weather is nice you can sit out back on their large patio. Inside is cute and cozy. Large waiting area where you can sit until your whole party arrives. Overall I would 100% return and recommend the Nest for breakfast! So good!

Service was great, though unfortunately this was a very disappointing meal. It started with a very watery hot chocolate. It looked good until you got past the whipped cream! The omelet was so dry, I couldn’t even eat it with salsa. The egg was quite thin and then it was super full of dried out meat and almost no cheese. The tater tots were the only saving grace. Fortunately I substituted the toast with a single slice of French toast to taste that and it was pretty good. Nothing special but good. However when I asked my server for guidance in ordering between French toast and an omelet she told me they can sub the slice of French toast for the toast/biscuit option, yet didn’t mention it was a $2 extra charge. So a lousy breakfast for $26!
I would be hard pressed to give this place another try.

This place used to be great. I guess I should be more calculated with what I order. The veggie omelet lacked any flavor. We also received a bowl of “potatoes o brien” that was merely some sort of pre-made precut potatoes with a couple of pieces of barely cooked bell pepper and onion thrown in. We didn’t even bother touching the abomination, and no compensation was offered for it. What happened to this place?

This was highly recommended by local friends. This was our fourth or fifth time visiting. Everything we’ve eaten from breakfast to lunch has been fantastic. My wife and I favorite go to meal is “THE BLAST”. We usually order it with the sourdough bread. This past week I forgot to ask for the sourdough and got the usual brioche bread, which let me tell you is fantastic. The tots and the sweet potato waffle fries are amazing. Highly recommended you will not be disappointed.

I got the veggie scramble with hash browns and it was delicious! The coffee was super good, too. Service was great (the staff were very friendly and attentive), and the back patio is a lovely place to eat. I highly recommend this restaurant!
