Everything here is homemade and absolutely delicious. The staff is always so friendly and even knows us by name, which makes every visit special. We love coming here whenever we can—it’s truly a gem in our small town of Belle Plaine. The restaurant is quiet, intimate, and perfect for private lunch dates. The food is excellent, portions are generous, and the atmosphere feels cozy and welcoming. We genuinely love this place and can’t recommend it enough!

It’s not fancy. It’s a small town diner. Now add some REALLY tasty food and you get the vibe! I got the Wednesday night special which was creamy pork tenderloin. Nice size portion of pork medallions covered in a pepper gravy, a heap of mash potatoes, green beans, a nice super fresh side salad and a Pepsi. Even with the 25% tip it was only $17. The owner even came over and checked to make sure I liked my dinner. Great choice for me.

Cute little restaurant! And the food is amazing! Lori is an incredible cook. Portions are huge and made fresh. The fresh baked breads and rolls are to die for! This will also be my go-to place for fresh breads and rolls. They lady who served us was hilarious and super friendly. We had a really great experience! Got a to go order of catfish. Came with a side of sliced potatoes with green beans, hush puppies, and cole slaw. The food was delicious and seemed really healthy. I see why this place is rated 4.8 stars. Keep making delicious food, Mystic Kitchen, and I’ll be back.

You will not be disappointed with any of the options here! This woman puts her whole heart into making amazing food. After dinner with a friend, she described the food as “soul changing” and it couldn’t be more true. I have been lucky to always be able to enjoy her tasty treats and home cooked meals and now she gets to share them with the whole community as well!
