Don’t hesitate to give this a try- the best burger I’ve had in Lake or Summit county by FAR.
We’ve frequented Leadville with mixed results- specifically in the value/quality matrix. My son and I read reviews and decided to give this a shot. The G.O.A.T. Melt was stellar. Absolutely stellar.
This was, by far, our favorite meal of our trip- that is saying something. The art of the sandwich was the simplicity. Perfectly cooked patties and fantastically toasted sourdough. The price/value matrix was also the best of our trip.
I expect that if The Mountain Goat can ever graduate to a brick and mortar (if they ever wanted to) the pricing can go up slightly and still be a great value.
Kristina was extremely friendly and willing to tell their story- our interaction was very pleasant.
This was a great experience and we will for SURE be back!

The lady who’s always running this place absolutely knows what she’s doing and is clearly meticulous with every single thing that comes out of this truck. I’ve been a burger loving chef most of my life and I’m a consistently blown away by these burgers. Well done

We had hamburgers and they were delicious! My buddy Sam at B&B shipping recommended we head on town and try some burgers and they were fantastic. They were very very large so large that even my seven-year-old could not finish his burger.

Amazing food. We had the GOAT sandwich and it was absolutely fantastic. It hit the spot! The lady inside the food trailer was also very nice. The only thing that was missing was some chairs or tables.

This is a gem of a food stop. So happy it was our road trip meal selection. I had the BLTTA and it was great. You can’t beat THE VIEW and Cristina brightened our day by being the nicest/friendliest employee possible. She was a true delight and her amazing attitude leaves quite an impression… you can’t stop her cheeriness from rubbing off on you.

The Goat Melt is absolutely addictive. Juicy, cheesy, and the goat sauce is amazing. So good I got lunch there a second day and had a melt and ordered a Ville Burger. Burger was just as amazing. Cooked perfectly and avocado was fresh and delicious. If I were staying longer I would try more of the menu.

First time in Leadville, saw the 4.9 rating and gave it a shot. Why it’s not a 5.0 is beyond me. Amazing burger, incredibly nice service, very accommodating. The Jalepeno burger was tremendous. Fresh lettuce, tomoto, onion. Everything was great. Kudos to you!

One of the things I look for on a burger is a crispy bun. Additionally crispy bacon. This was one of the better burgers I’ve had in my life… I only wish I had thought to get two patties as that may have pushed it over the edge to Best. They don’t have fries, but make a dank ass soup, which I have not subbed for fries before but was also game changing. Honestly, considering coming back Leadville if only to get a burger and soup. 10/10
