This was our first time visiting after several of my coworkers highly recommended to visit. We were very impressed with the entire experience from being greeted quickly, great service, and the good food. We definitely left with full stomachs and even had leftovers. Thanks, guys!

First time I ate there was today. Food was amazing, our waitress was amazing as well. Our sweet potato fries were cold, but we should have said something right away and didn’t. I’ll still give them five stars for the rest of the food 🙂 was very good.

A favorite local for us! We came for a late dinner. Service was exceptional, food was amazing as always. We had the jalapeño poppers and deep fried mushrooms too start! Yummmm
Then my mil had cod dinner with baked potato and side salad, it looked so good at first I was wishing I had gotten that. My husband got the full rack of ribs, they were so meaty, he got fries and a side salad. I got the rattlesnake pasta, and a cup of the bacon chicken broccoli soup. It was all amazing! And plenty of leftovers to take home for another meal! With all that food we were still under $100 before tip. Not for a small budget, but well worth it.

3 times now, I have visited the area in 2025. Each time we “attenpted” to go here by recommendation. Mother’s Day, stopped taking tables at 7pm when closing at 9… Brothers birthday, tried a reservation the day before and told “we don’t do reservations”, arrived and told “only reservations” at 6pm. And today, New Years eve at 6pm… guess what?!?

Ordered to go. 50 plus on two sandwiches and a blooming onion. The blooming onion was soggy and the sauce that comes with it was just thrown in the box spilt everywhere. The brisket sandwiches were sloppy didn’t come with the red onion it said it had. They didn’t put any BBQ sauce on mine at all. The frys that came with the sandwiches we’re soggy and not cooked proper at all. Who ever was using the fryer clearly didn’t cook the food long enough. I won’t be going back when u spend a decent amount of money you work hard for you would hope you would get good food and service. The servers are very irritated and grumpy.

The Black River mountain Inn is a very popular restaurant. It is well managed , has great service , and is clean. We have never had a bad meal.
We have had their ribs and brisket . The pizza looks good. Our favorite is the fajitas served sizzling hot.
The ambience could be improved by dimming the lights in the afternoon. The high noise level makes conversation challenging. This would require installing sound absorption acoustical material.

We were just passing by. We were hungry so we decided to stop. I am glad we did. We are wrapping up a 5,000-mile road trip and this is possibly the best food we had the entire trip. We got there just after lunch and there were there were only a few other people in the restaurant. I had the whitefish tacos, and my son had the kids cheeseburger. The meat on the burger was not that good, but the bun was nice and soft and buttery ( The kid liked the burger, I did not ). His fries were crispy. Coming from the south, the fish in tacos is usually fried, these were not fried. The whitefish and the salsa on top were nice and juice. I did have two issues with the tacos. It had green peppers. I nice finely chopped jalapeno would have gone nicely. Also the tacos were all one note in the mouth. Soft. Some fried crunches would be nice to have another mouth feel when eating. The prices are fairly reasonable.

Brought my family in this evening for dinner and had a great experience. The frozen mudslide was amazing and the ribeye steak was massive and perfectly cooked. Service was great. We will be back again soon.
