I went to the Moose nearly every Sunday while living in Paris. The first time I went, it was only to watch the Lions game. The atmosphere, however, was so electric I started coming back every Sunday. I had only just started watching football when I moved and barely understood the rules, but I learned them by eavesdropping on the other bargoers. Every week I met new kind and interesting people. The staff knew me and greeted me, and no matter how bad my week was– and I had a lot of hard weeks– they would always end a little better than they started after Sunday night at the Moose.
I took my family here when they visited. I celebrated Thanksgiving here with new friends. I left my umbrella one night and came back nearly a week later to find they’d held onto it for me. Living in a foreign country had me scared and lonely, but this was a place where I always felt welcome. The Moose truly made my time in Paris
Also, the drinks and food are always on point. I recommend the pecan pie and espresso martini 🙂
The bartender was very friendly and we had a great rest there.
Highly recommend for quiet and relax time in Paris.
My boyfriend & I visited last year in March, as his basketball team was playing & we found good reviews on the diversity of options this bar had. When we arrived, we asked about it, but because there were people there who booked to watch a specific event they unfortunately couldn’t switch any of the screens. They were extremely apologetic and helpful, because when we mentioned it was totally fine and we would watch it on our phone, they immediately offered a spot where we could charge our phone and mentioned they would try to switch one screen for us as soon as they were able to.
After a while two other people joined close to us asking for a specific March Madness game, since it was the guys college he attended. The staff kindly told them we had priority, but we mentioned we were fine watching on our phone, so as soon as the other game was done, their college game got turned on. We got to talking to them about it, and whenever they had time, the staff joined as well.
The food was great! We had some typical ‘sporting event’ snacks, and got recommended some nice beer! If we’re ever in Paris again, we will for sure come back!
I arrived at 7:30 and ordered my beer with 20 minutes left in happy hour, but was charged the normal amount.
Also, this is one of the few restaurants in Paris where the credit card machine suggests 10, 15, and 20% tip (like they do in Canada), even though a one or two euro tip is the norm in Paris.
The poutine tasted great!
*Note, call ahead though if you want any shot of getting a table!
