Overall: Pretty standard fare.
The extended review…
Donuts: 3/5 – Got a couple of donuts to share. The texture was similar to most I’ve had and flavor was pretty standard fare.
Service: 3/5 – Standard service.
Ambiance: 4/5 – It’s a grab and go place but very nicely decorated.
Portion to Price: 3/5 – Standard fare.
Ube Milk Tea ($5.75) – Confirmed with server that it’s made with powder. I got it anyways because I was desperate and instantly regretted it. Probably the worst tapioca balls I’ve ever had. It tasted like mush.
Popcorn Chicken ($7.99) – Pricy for a little bit of meat coated with thick batter. It wasn’t great.
Sadly, I was disappointed. Customer service was meh. Didn’t even get greeted or acknowledged when I was the only person there.
I had been having a craving of mochi doughnuts and sadly this didn’t satisfy my craving. The doughnuts were greasy and tasted stale or old.
I was surprised with my avocado shake. I thought it was different, especially since they placed a can lid on top. The avocado shake tasted delicious.
Matcha doughnut – oily and dry but has good flavor
Fruity pebbles- a little disappointed because cereal on top was already stale..
Coffee doughnut- flavor is there. Cookie was stale, oily on your fingertips but the topping was dry
I will try this place again to try their rice bowls and fried chicken.
I got the Half Dozen Mochi Donut set with Churro x2, Ube, Birthday Cake, Funnel Cake, & Dark Chocolate.
The texture is great! Chewy like what you expect the mochi to add, but not TOO much like regular mochi. Its a good mix to the donut.
The flavors were perfect! You can tell the flavor you’re eating but its not overpowering. I didn’t love the Birthday Cake because of the sprinkles but I dont love sprinkles so its got nothing to do with the mochi donut itself. The frosting was yummy (i ate the Oreo side and gave the sprinkle half to my bf).
Comes in a CUUUTE box!
I also got a Longsilog food item. Great amount for the price! The pork sausages were juicy & meaty. Some of the garlic rice pieces were a little harder but that happens when you fry rice. The garlic wasn’t super potent or flavorful (which is essential in garlic rice haha) so that was a little disappointing but the runny egg was great for flavoring the rice up to make up for it.
Would definitely go back! Gotta try the boba drinks.
Pros: Lots of items to try for food and drink. Yummy. Price is reasonable. Staff is nice!
AND THEY GIVE FREE BOOKS!!! I love Artemis Fowl and they had 1
Cons: Seems like the donuts only come in 6 flavors (I didn’t get Yuzu) and I don’t know if/when they rotate flavors, so if you dont like those 6, good luck.
Place is really small inside so you can’t hang out in there really. Just a small bar for waiting.
Mochi donuts 1 chocolate 1 funnel cake and 1 churro they were soft and light. Sweetness wasn’t overpowering. (Not pictured, just the box)
Vietnamese coffee.. I liked it a lot. Wish it was a bit bigger in size or offered a larger size. It was strong but but flavorful.
Chocolate smoothie (I did not try but was told it was good, it resembled a chocolate milk)
Hot Cheetos sausage/cheese corndog (not pictured I forgot
It was not a sausage, it was a hot dog so don’t expect much from the sausage part of the corndog. Cheese was extra gooey and the hot Cheetos shell was perfect. If I come back I’ll order the corndog with just cheese.
Cheese and hot Cheetos.. of course I’ll come back.
This is more of a grab and go spot since there’s limited seating near the window but their menu offers so much from snacks, Korean corn dogs and sandwiches to rice dishes. I definitely want to come back and try more. Me and my boyfriend had just gotten drinks to try but the cashier was sweet enough to also offer an ube mochi donut to try.
The avocado smoothie was at a good sweetness level for me while still maintaining an avocado flavor. Usually a lot of avocado smoothies can taste watered down since avocado can be an expensive ingredient but they definitely used a good amount for the smoothie.
The mango latte wasn’t in my taste because I didn’t realize it was going to be a coffee latte and mango. I thought it was going to be like one of those boba lattes where it was just milk and fruit. But the coffee latte part in itself was SO good like a Vietnamese coffee. I would come back to try the ube latte version because that sounds like a perfect combo.
