A superb find in a big city – we booked online based on reviews – and how this wonderful restuarant looked on the reviews. It was a fantastic find on our main night in Dublin celebrating a friends 50th Birthday. We had the Christmas menu and we wernt dissapointed. The staff we’re all superb, the food was filling and beautifully presented – a feast for the eyes as well as the tastebuds. We had a great time – thanks to the Chef’s and witing staff you made the evening all the mroe memorabel by being so good at what you do!

Sunday impromptu dinner at this place was the perfect ending to the short trip to Dublin.
It was a nice and quiet atmosphere, all staff members were super friendly and accommodating with us. The food was delicious, timely served and aesthetically pleasing. Thanks to chef Lucian for his hospitality, hands down best Chowder I ever had(and my first impression of a seafood chowder). The fish and chips was generously portioned so the chef volunteered to share this dish in 2 plates for me and my friend!
I am looking forward to coming back again !

The food was also amazing my steak was cooked perfectly, and everything came out so quick. It’s a perfect place in town for a cosy dinner with a great vibe.

A beautiful and cozy spot. We made a reservation ahead of time and when we got there an hour early because we were very hungry, they sat us within 10 minutes of arriving. The food almost brought us to tears it was so delicious. Amazing to find such a wonderful celiac friendly option right in the heart of the city!

Amazing experience! The staff was super friendly and the place has a charming, old-school vibe. The food was spectacular: the Fish and Chips were top-notch, and the Portobello mushroom was even better. A must-visit classic in Dublin!

We had a great experience at The Milestone Restaurant. The place has an authentic look and feel, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. The menu isn’t overly large, but everything is priced the same and offers a nice selection of traditional Irish dishes, which really adds to the charm.

The atmosphere is cozy and enjoyable, and the location feels more local and less touristy, which we appreciated. While reservations are possible, it’s not really necessary—you can easily walk in and get a table.

The food itself was excellent—very tasty, well-prepared, and served in portions that were just right. Overall, it was a very pleasant dining experience with good food, fair portions, and a warm atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!

We had dinner at Millstone tonight. I had the burger, my brother in law had the beef and Guinness stew and my sister who has celiac had the prime rib. They had a separate gluten free menu for her.
Everyone enjoyed their dinner. My sister and I had the pornstar cocktail, it was tasty.

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at The Millstone in Dublin, and it was one of those rare evenings where everything felt just right. From the moment we walked in, the warmth of the space set the tone. The antique décor, soft lighting, and an old-school comfort that instantly made me feel cozy and at home. It has that classic UK charm that I adore, refined yet welcoming.
The service was outstanding: Laura was attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely cared for. There was also a French gentleman (whose name I didn’t catch) who added such a gracious touch to the evening. Both of them struck that perfect balance of professionalism and warmth, which made the whole experience feel even more special.
The atmosphere was lovely, with music that fit the mood perfectly, complementing the interior design and overall ambience. You can tell a lot of thought goes into creating not just a meal, but an experience.
And the food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was rich in flavor, beautifully presented, and deeply satisfying. We enjoyed it so much that even after our main courses, we decided to share a dessert just to extend our time there. It felt less like finishing dinner and more like savoring a memory.
All in all, The Millstone is a gem. Cozy, elegant, and delicious in every way. I left feeling both happy and spoiled, and I can’t wait to return.

Chose The Millstone for our first meal in Dublin and it did not disappoint. We shared the Yorkshire pudding as a starter, and had the burger (does not look beautiful in the photo ) and the beef & Guinness stew as meals. Everything was really delicious and good quality! Even the dishes other diners ordered looked super good. I am always a bit wary of basement bathrooms, but I was glad to see theirs was very clean and spacious would definitely recommend The Millstone when in Dublin!

We celebrated our anniversary with dinner at The Millstone, and it couldn’t have been a better choice. The staff were warm and attentive, striking a perfect balance of friendliness and professionalism that made us feel looked after while still giving us space to enjoy the night.

The food was excellent, our stuffed portobello starter was a great beginning, entrees included Irish chicken and also lamb shank, both beautifully prepared and full of flavor. We paired them with cocktails that were perfectly balanced, and the meal ended with a surprise Baby Guinness shot from the waiter, which was a fun touch.

Overall, The Millstone gave us exactly what we hoped for, a celebratory evening with wonderful food, great atmosphere, and memories we’ll carry with us. It was the perfect place to mark such a special occasion, and we’d gladly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dinner in Dublin.
