I got the garlic parmesan fries, and honestly they might have been a bit too garlicky for me, I wasn’t expecting so much minced garlic to be in there.
The soda fountain has sodas from a local (afaik) soda brand, and they were all pretty good.
Service was great, I ordered at one of the kiosks so I could take my time looking through the menu. You get one of those pucks that vibrate when your order’s ready after you pay. There’s also a screen showing which orders are ready and which are being worked on still, which I thought was neat. The wait for the food wasn’t long. While I was finishing up my meal one of the workers walked by each table to check up on everyone, offer a sample of one of their cookies, and ask us to leave a good review online 🙂
The restaurant itself has a nicely decorated interior, chairs could maybe be a tiny bit more comfortable but I doubt it’d end up being a problem in the time it would take you to finish a burger.
I’ll definitely be coming back here next time I’m in the area and looking for food. Nice to have somewhere that’s open late too, it seems like everywhere closes early these days
From the moment you walk in, there’s this quiet confidence about the place — clean, modern, and buzzing with the smell of something seriously good cooking. Timothy immediately sets the tone with excellent service: friendly, helpful, and genuinely engaged. No awkward rushing, no indifference — just someone who clearly wants you to enjoy your meal. That alone makes you lean in and think, okay… this place knows what it’s doing.
Then the food arrives.
And suddenly, everything makes sense.
This burger isn’t trying to be flashy — it’s just done right. The patty is juicy, deeply flavorful, and cooked perfectly, the kind that drips just enough to remind you why burgers exist in the first place. The bun is soft, warm, and lightly toasted, holding everything together like it was designed specifically for this burger. The cheese melts into every corner, the toppings are fresh and balanced, and each bite somehow pulls you in more than the last. You slow down. You pay attention. You start planning when you’ll come back.
But here’s where The Melt gets even more interesting.
They don’t stop at beef. They offer crispy chicken options and Impossible patties, meaning whether you’re a meat lover, plant-based, or somewhere in between, you’re not settling — you’re choosing. It’s the kind of menu that makes you curious about what you’ll try next time.
And yes — there will be a next time.
The prices? Surprisingly reasonable, especially for the quality and portions. It feels like discovering a place that hasn’t been “overhyped” yet — still generous, still honest, still focused on feeding people well.
Now add this: they’re open until 1:00 AM.
Late-night cravings, after work, post-movie, spontaneous hunger — suddenly The Melt becomes that place. There’s plenty of parking, no stress getting in or out, and inside everything is clean, comfortable, and well cared for, including spotless bathrooms.
Ordering is effortless too. You can pre-order ahead of time, or walk in and order on a tablet, which somehow makes the whole experience feel smoother, faster, and oddly satisfying.
Just when you think it’s over… dessert.
The cookie arrives warm, soft, and gooey, like it was waiting for you. It’s not an afterthought — it’s the kind of ending that makes you sit there for a second longer than planned.
The Melt isn’t just a burger joint — it’s one of those places you tell people about, the kind you bookmark mentally and think, we should go there again soon. Between the food, the late hours, the easy ordering, the clean space, and Timothy’s standout service, this spot earns its reputation without trying too hard.
You don’t just eat here.
You get curious.
And then you come back.
I love that they open the new one. And it is very close to my house. I don’t have to drive to Folsom When I Want A Great Burger. Thank you everybody at the melt at this location. You guys are doing great. Keep up the high standards you already have.
