This is definitely good drunk food. We ordered the jalapeño burger, the burger was a bit bland, texture mushy, and overall mediocre. The patty melt is what you would expect very basic but I thought it taste fine. Both the sweet potato and regular fries were good. There’s plenty of seating and evening seating along the window. The service was as expected; however they did mix up the fries with the burgers.

Absolutely adore this spot! The staff were friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience a joy. My swoosh burger came out perfectly cooked, and the fries were incredible. The local root beer added a fun, unique touch. I dined outside and soaked in the lively Gas Lamp atmosphere, which made the meal even better. Everything I tried was flavorful and satisfying. Can’t wait to come back — highly recommended!

This was a GREAT meal as we were walking around in gaslamp area. The meat in my burger was perfectly seasoned with the right amount of spice and salt. Easy to order and pickup. The sweet potato fries were good, though I would’ve loved them a tiny bit more crispy ( but maybe I could’ve ordered them that way..?). Service was great too.

A couple workers have been pretty rude but a couple other ones have been awesome. Food is always A+ . I love the bacon double cheeseburger for sure highly recommended. Never thought I would like sweet potato fries but I fell in love at first bite and have been getting them ever since. Also tried the Mac and cheese and it’s a yes for me, Home made style and it’s a pretty big portion. Could share between 2 people but if you’re like me you’re gonna want your own. The Melt is definitely a must for good burgers, fries and real ice cream shakes if you’re in the downtown gaslamp area. Easy 5 stars, Thanks for your time and lmk what you think of the melt or about your experience with any of the workers. ✌

Exactly what we had been looking for, a cheeky evening bite, after a long day sightseeing around San Diego.
Food was delicious, well priced and friendly staff.

Where can you grab some tasty food quickly after getting off a plane in San Diego airport? Right here! It’s 2 miles from the airport and open we’ll past midnight. Paid street parking is available, but a challenge. Order at the computer terminal or at the counter. We had the main specialty burger and both spicy and reg version of their main chicken sandwich, along with fries. The chicken portion was great, but we should have gotten double patty of the burgers. The food is delicious, served hot along with a pickle. Try it for yourself.

The Melt burgers are bigger than they look in the photos—but don’t let that stop you from ordering. They’re juicy, flavorful, and come in generous portions. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!
Orders came in fast. Service is good also.

Party of 2 went for dinner around 7:30pm on a Wednesday evening. Ordered food on the big screen and it was ready within 20 minutes. I had the crispy chicken sandwich which was pretty good. The side caesar salad was pretty bland – just some cheese thrown on top of greens, and the croutons were all soggy. The strawberry shake was very cold and took effort to slurp really. The restaurant is self-service – you go pickup your food when you get the text or when your clicker buzzes. You can sit at some tables upstairs which are quieter than the main floor.

IMPORTANT:
The food here is the best I’ve had in San Diego (coming from a local). I got a Mac and Cheese Grilled Cheese, a brownie and a milkshake. Only 20 bucks!
But more importantly. One of the managers. Marvin. Is the nicest and friendliest man i have ever met who will make you feel like youre visiting an old friend.
He was great with the kids and gave out free cookies just because.
PLEASE SUPPORT THIS PLACE. they deserve it.
