Margaret and Joe Andraos opened The Mediterranean Restaurant in 1997 because they felt that there were few places outside Philadelphia to get healthy Mediterranean foods.
The menu varies from time to time to incorporate seasonal fruits and vegetables purchased from local growers. Grass fed meats, fresh seafood, whole grains, hand crafted pasta, and healthy, cold pressed oils are the heart of The Mediterranean’s dishes. We also consider food allergies, gluten intolerance, and other special diets.
Local, health food is our life and passion. We personally source out the best food options, and prepare them with love and care. Our goal is to share it with your friends and family!
Intimate pick with a mix of Italian & Lebanese dishes including falafel, salads & seafood platters.

We had such a great dinner here! Everything felt fresh, flavorful, and made with care. I ordered the chicken kabob platter, and it was absolutely perfect — juicy, tender, and beautifully charred with that hint of lemon and herbs. The yellow rice was light and fragrant, and the grilled veggies added the perfect touch. The hummus was so creamy and smooth, easily some of the best I’ve had.
For dessert, we shared the chocolate lava cake, and it was the perfect ending — rich, warm, and balanced with fresh berries and whipped cream.
The service was kind and unhurried, and the cozy atmosphere with the blue and white touches made it feel like a little escape to the Mediterranean coast. Great spot for a date night or dinner with friends. Highly recommend!

You had me at Hen of the Woods! Delicious food and love the seasonal specials ( referenced above over Hummus). Fresh and from scratch – Meze is a must, can’t wait to come back again soon! And plenty of veg/vegan options too! Staff and owner were lovely. And inside!! What a cozy gem. I double down on the falafel.

The food was great and the service was too, all while dining in what somewhat feels like your grandmother’s home. No thrills, good food.

We absolutely love this place. The food is fresh and superb. The atmosphere so cozy and quiet. It’s perfect for a date night with someone you really want to talk to. We love it’s a BYOB as well. We’ve been here about five times this year and it just is consistently great every time. The mussels are delicious, the kabobs, the hummus and babaganoush, falafel and grape leaves are divine. The feta and olives so fresh and delicious. I loved the fra Divalo sauce with the mussels was so tasty and not too spicey. This is a gem in every way!!!!

Last night we had what was easily one of the best dinners we’ve had in a long time. The food was incredible, delicious, and fresh. The ambiance is very cozy, like you’re visiting a friend’s house. And the highlight of it all was our server John – our table had so much fun with him and his sense of humor that it won’t be a dinner to forget. Looking forward to coming back!

We were tired and hungry when we entered the restaurant, but they had not opened yet and we were 1/2 hour too early. They were too accommodating, though, and they allowed us to come in, sit, relax and enjoy true customer service.
My wife and I shared a small plate of hummus. It was fresh, made with dry beans and served with a generous side of pita and olive oil. The hummus was garnished with raw vegetables and was served on a bed of lettuce. Yum!
I had the Shrimp Kebab Platter that normally came with a side of hummus, but our server substituted it with a mixture of beans and rice since we already had it as an appetizer. There were five large shrimps perfectly grilled and the rice and beans were delicious too.
My wife had the Grilled Vegetable Platter that came with hummus, tabbouleh and rice. Yum, again. The fresh veggies were perfectly grilled and charred.
The atmosphere was wonderful and very Mediterranean.
The restaurant was easily accessible without any steps and there was a tiny incline at the entrance.
There offered outdoor and indoor seating.
Highly recommended!!

ahhh I can’t boast enough about this hidden gem of a restaurant in West Chester!! First of all the service is amazing, all the staff is super friendly and accommodating. Second of all, the food is delicious and super fresh!!! I had ordered the catch of the week which was the salmon and it was phenomenal. The hummus is one of my favourites, and I absolutely LOVE that everything is locally sourced, and wild caught. Hard to come by nowadays at restaurants. I also cannot have any dairy, and they were quick to accomodate, making my meal using only olive oil. This is my new favourite restaurant and I would highly recommend to anyone who cares for their quality of food, and enjoys healthy, fresh, Mediterranean fare!!! 🙂

Interior is small but very homey and personable. The service was very friendly and the food was incredible. They claim everything is fresh and locally sourced and you can TASTE it. Not only that, the dishes are also prepared extremely well. Ended the meal with their Baklava which rivaled the baklava that my aunt and uncle had in Istanbul. AMAZING.

Ahi tuna was slightly overcooked but everything else was fabulous…
We had a table 5 or 6 kids under 7 next to us, it did get loud often. You cannot put kids at one table and adults at another it doesn’t work well. Poor parenting. No supervision.
