We had a really nice experience here. The server Irene was very kind and thoughtful. She took good care of us and made us feel very comfortable.
The food quality was good and everything tasted very fresh. We ordered the all-you-can-eat option and it was more than enough. We were so full!
I would recommend coming for dinner instead of lunch, because at lunchtime you might not be able to eat that much.
Parking is really hard to find, but you can try parking on the side streets nearby.
Overall, we enjoyed it and would come back again.
Good selection on the Hot Pot ingredients.
I agree with a previous reviewer that the broths were in the sweeter side.
Sauce bar was excellent.
The menu says you have 2 hours to eat AYCE… but after 45 minutes, the service slowed down….ALOT!
Servers walked past our table half dozen times, would go in to serve other tables. They would offer us fried Pig intestine only, and we turned them down politely.
The servers have head sets and communicate in Chinese.
They probably didn’t realize that my 1/2 Asian teens understood when they overheard the staff telling each other to stop serving our table.
We left full, but will not very pleased. I wouldn’t recommend this place to others. We won’t be coming back.
The place looked big on the outside but it’s quite crammed. On weekdays they give you the two premium option only. We went for the $48.99 option.
The way it works is you can let the server know what you want and they cook it to come by and then they will drop off the food to you. It’s a great way to prevent waste but I think it’s rather restrictive. It’s like they are constantly watching you to make you don’t waste food vs making you enjoy the ayce experience.
The servers were really nice asking if you want food but you were constantly being interrupted if you want food. They were good as they have a sign where you can say “you are full” vs “I am hungry “ to identify if they can approach you.
They had a Malatang and the sides of fried food and appies and it wasn’t even full when we were there at 6… it just looked like scrappy leftovers….
When the hostess came over and was telling us “ok you get guys are over the time limit… that was when I knew I wouldn’t come back again.
The seats were quite snug and I just felt like I can go pay regular time lace at happy tree or paramount shenji and pay around the same price and had more in food and better quality
The chicken wings, bbq pork skewers were really good.
I would try once but dont have a lower expctation.
The BBQ pork skewers were excellent, and the honey toast was absolutely delicious. For the hot pot, the tom yum base is highly recommended. It had a rich and flavorful broth with a coconut milk base, which was very satisfying. The hot pot ingredients were also fresh and well prepared.
One downside is that the restaurant gets very crowded, so food can take a long time to come out after ordering. Parking is another challenge, as the lot is very small and finding a spot can be difficult.
Overall, it is a good option if you are looking for an all you can eat hot pot and skewer experience with strong value, as long as you are prepared for the wait and parking limitations.
Sara was very kind and helpful.
One nice feature is that you can pick your own soup ingredients and have the staff prepare it for you — a fun and customizable touch.
The atmosphere was pleasant and inviting, and the service was friendly, though there was a noticeable delay in getting our food.
Overall, it’s a place with potential, but the kitchen execution needs improvement.
Unlike some other places that use all the same spices, these skewers are all distinguishable and pretty tasty. A very good selection for hot pot too – quite comparable to Big Way on staples. I don’t know why people are complaining about the service. From host to server to runner, everyone was very attentive. Shout out to Leo for his hospitality!
Best things to eat:
– cold clams
– lamb skewers
– scallion beef
– black pepper beef
– broccoli (yes)
– coconut pudding
Cons:
1. everything was on the sweeter side for our preference, perhaps just a little heavier handed on sugar than I’m used to
2. Hot pot broths was just meh and also on the sweeter side.
Although our order was significantly delayed, Irene sincerely went above and beyond to help us. Her kindness and attentive service truly made a difference. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and look forward to visiting again!
