I eat hot stuff. Really hot stuff. There isn’t anything I haven’t been able to eat so far in my life and so of course my friends told me I must try this place! I’m hoping for the day I can’t finish something! We went there just for their hot sandwich and sadly we were told its ingredients are back ordered. The two staff were very friendly and the guy was upset too they didn’t have the stuff because he said he wanted to see someone try it. I have to say, as a first time customer, the pulled pork sandwich was good but lacking smoky flavor and reminded me more of a crock pott/dutch oven pork butt, but it wasn’t anything to write home about. It was lacking flavor, and in all honesty was either room temperature or maybe even a little colder when it arrived. Standard drink machine, no issues there and was as expected for a BBq joint. Loved the inside dining experience. Also as expected for a BBq joint and feels very inviting. I just can’t get over how we were the only customers and received room temperature food and their staple hot sandwich I’ve been told for years to try wasn’t available and no further hot sauces were available. If the owners see this you guys need to capitalize on this and at least stock other very hot sauces. I don’t buy the excuse it’s not available. There’s so many choices for hot stuff! Will return in a year perhaps to try again and will update my review accordingly… editing to say coleslaw was good.

The atmosphere and decor were really cute and the service was great! But the food was just ok. Nothing to rave about. My husband has smoked brisket, pork and ribs. It’s supposed to be juicy and full or smokey flavor. When cooked right, the meat does not need sauce to taste good. The pork here didn’t have a ton of flavor. Again, the employees were so sweet. Just wish the food was a little better.

For the love of God, hire some help and fix your online ordering. This has been going on too long. Im not sure if they just arent checking for online orders or what, but I always have to notify the kids in the kitchen that I’ve ordered and it still takes forever. I at least got everything I ordered this time, so that’s nice.

Today was the second time my family and I have eaten here. The first time was a year ago and I remember it being pretty good. This time was… not. I got the 2 Plate Meal with chicken and beef. I wanted the brisket, but they were out. I was given my food immediately, but my family didn’t get theirs until more than 30 minutes later (2 hot dog kids’ meals and a brisket sandwich). I nibbled my food a little before, but ultimately waited to eat with my family. I only mention the nibble because the food was lukewarm even when I first got it. The chicken was dry, the beef was dry, both were bland. The service was lackluster. The cashier was blank faced and not friendly. The picture I attached of the paper towel roll is just a pet peeve of mine. I know it’s not the restaurant’s fault that other customers were gross and got the whole roll dirty, but it might be good for the restaurant to switch to napkins for sanitary reasons. Spent over $50 to be disappointed, but lesson learned.

Me and some family came here to try their spicy food challenge and it is for sure EXTREMELY spicy. The staff were great and very friendly and they also have very clean restrooms. Would definitely come again to try some other items on the menu.

Went there on a Friday evening, and it was deserted. The gal taking our order seemed less than enthusiastic for sure. Had a pulled pork sandwich and the pork was cold, the bun was cold and the coleslaw was cold. Taste was not bad, but it would have been much better had it been warmer. The blackberry cobbler was warm and good.

Not a great experience. I went through the drive-thru and they were out of almost everything. The poor kids working there tried their best to put something together for me and my family, and I really appreciate their effort. But the food itself was disappointing — everything was so dry I couldn’t eat it, the beans tasted like they came straight out of a can, and the potato salad was more like mashed potatoes.

I am from Stillwater, Oklahoma and was working in Little Rock this week and had to come try this place. Glad I did! Everything about this place was excellent! Great service, nice atmosphere and top notch food! I got the Super pork sandwich with slaw and the hot BBQ sauce on it. Meat and sauce were spot on! For side I got the tasty smoked beans and turnip greens. Loved it all! Keep up the good work! My ONLY complaint…I really wanted to buy a bottle of the Shut up sauce to take home with me but it was out… that’s just my luck I guess lol. Do you guys ship? Thanks for the great lunch!

It’s hard for me to overstate how much I absolutely love The Mean Pig BBQ. Their Smoked Frito Pie is my favorite meal…as in favorite thing to eat on the planet. I love it. Each time we eat here my wife makes me ask what cobbler they have. Regardless of what it is, if it isn’t already sold out, we’re ordering it too.
Buddy and his staff are wonderful people that do a fantastic job running their small business. They quietly also do so much for our community.
Do yourself a favor and eat at The Mean Pig BBQ, and don’t be surprised when it becomes a weekly occurrence!

I came from California to visit family and one of my must dos was to stop in mean pig and get a pulled pork sandwhich. A bunch of my family came with me and what a let down. The ribs were dry as a bone, the pork was cold. My sister took my mom’s plate back to ask them to heat it up and the guy said it had just came off the smoker. It wasn’t room temp, it was cold. It was a bummer because it used to be so good and I bragged about it all over the country. Now I would be a liar
