Tasty deli spot with great local flavor. The croissant club was excellent—flaky, fresh, and packed with flavor. My wife and daughter raved about the brownie. I didn’t get to try the zombies, but they’re clearly a local favorite and sold out fast. Heads-up: there’s no seating at the deli itself, but the staff suggested a couple nearby spots and even a great bar down the way where you can enjoy your food with a drink. Solid service, good food, and a nice community vibe. The building itself is very cool too.

Incredible little deli we stopped at on our way to Sacramento. Everything we got here was delicious — we got a turkey blt and a variation on an Italian sub on a sourdough roll. Everything tasted fresh and the service was impeccable. We felt welcomed incthe quaint and well appointed shop and will definitely be back when we’re in the area.

Wow! This sandwich spot is so good that once, we had at least 8 people at our house, and we decided to go to the Mcboodery. We all went to this place and ordered our food. I got the pepperoni pizza zombie and the fruity pebbles rice crispy treat. It was very good and I will always go here when I feel like it. 10/10

We found this place while traveling. We were wanting a deli sandwich and this came up in the general area. Wow! What a cool find! The sandwiches were fresh and made to order. The staff were friendly and helpful. They don’t have space for dine-in but there was a darling little park a block away. We took our sandwiches and enjoyed them at the park. We even talked about how much we loved this place a few days later. We will definitely go there again when traveling in the area.

The sandwiches are delicious, as well as the ice cream and zombies. The brownie was absolute perfection! We had the beef Jerky and although the flavor was good, it was so dry and tuff, hard to eat.

Dropped in for some home made desserts but it appears that their sandwiches are very popular with their patrons. There was a constant line of people coming in for them. I’ll have to come back again to try them.

My husband and I came here for sandwiches and snacks last week. The sandwiches are so delicious and totally customizable. The shop is very cute and the owners are friendly. They have really cool snacks like Vegan tomato jerky, omg this stuff is next level good. The apple cobbler was great also. Also got a cool tie dye shirt. We will definitely go back next time we are in Isleton.

Currently walking across the country via the American Discovery Trail and I lucked out with my visit to Isleton. The McBoodery came highly recommended and they did not disappoint. I had already walked about twenty (hot) miles when I walked in their door and I was ready for good food. Ordered the club croissant, which is usually served hot, but the co-owner offered to keep mine cold…she truly knows how to serve her customers well. Cannot recommend this local establishment highly enough!

I can’t eat gluten or soy, which is always tricky when I want to pull over for a quick bite—happened to see gluten free bread as an option on the pictures on Google here. This place is exactly what you want from a neighborhood deli and then some. Very good thin-sliced and flavorful pastrami. Super nice staff who were very considerate of my food allergies. I forgot the bread that I was eating was gluten free, which is always a good sign! I also got their tomato chips, a great snack or topping for home. Husband got the zombie and he loved it, it was a great handheld option for the car. We live in Sacramento and have plans to take the extra time to go through Isleton next time we go to the Bay just so we can stop by again!

Next to Striper fishing McBoodery is about the best thing that ever happened on Isleton…Not counting old lady Clambanger out on Taco Slough because she has the secret sauce used to catch all those crawdads for the great Isleton Cawdad Festival. So the next time you decide to dink some cut bait stop at The McBoodery for your lunch, it’s always a 5 star experience. ☆☆☆☆☆
