The McArthur is Sister’s newly opened, elevated dining restaurant. We serve exquisitivley creative dishes, sourced from the Pacific Northwest. Some of our appetizers are scallop crudo, fresh shucked oysters, wild game sliders, mussels, risotto croquettes and tempura vegetables. For entrees we have a choice of Oregon steaks, lamb shank, elk, halibut cheeks and trout, amongst other beautifully prepared items.

We went here for our first time first week they were open. They have a little bit of refining to do on ordering enough ingredients to create the dishes (they were out of FIVE of the entrées that we were interested in!) and it took a long time to get our food (roughly 45 minutes) – so don’t be in a rush – but the drinks were really good and the appetizers were really good and actually all of the food was really good. I guess it was good for us to try something outside of our normal comfort zone, but definitely hoping they order enough entree ingredients to be able to sustain a full house so we can try what we really want to on our next visit. Looking forward to see how these guys do and will definitely be back to give them our business.

Amazing food and service! We stayed at the FivePine Lodge next to the restaurant and were recommended to eat here. We got the Elk Rack, Burger and smashed potatoes – all extremely good. Also desserts were above and beyond. Our server (Josh) was very kind and made it an amazing experience.
One recommendation: check the opening hours before you go.

Wow! Finally a foodie’s dream has come to Sisters!!! Thank you SO much Paul for opening such a luxurious restaurant!
My husband and I shared the wedge which is huge! Definitely shareable. And we also shared the burger and elote succotash. Easily one of the best burgers I have ever had! Its been awhile since I was excited by a burger. And idk what they do to make that succotash so good but God was it flavorful! I can’t wait to go back and eat my way through the menu!

We had an amazing experience with our servers Linna and Dayne as well as the owner Paul, awesome service and incredible food. I’m not exaggerating when I say it was the best food we have ever had at a restaurant! We had the Lamb shank and the burger. The lamb was cooked to fall off the bone perfection and the burger was incredible! You can’t go wrong with the starters either. We had the mushroom risotto, oysters and the duck fat fries, all of which were superb we ended the night with a perfectly classic cheese cake

Very lovely inside with comfortable booth seating, which is hard to find these days. Service is impeccable. Food is wonderful, but there didn’t seem to be a vegan option, and even vegetarian options are limited. A pasta dish w/vegan option would be amazing to see on the menu. Wine selection is great! Overall a very lovely experience.

We went here for Valentines dinner, and the enjoyed the Prix Fixe menu. Each course was creative and delicious, with unique pairings of food, and absolutely perfect pacing.
In addition, the staff were wonderful, from the host to our waiter, and the owner checking in as well felt like a seamless team.
10/10 recommend giving The McArthur a try!!

Great for Sisters, nice to have this level of cuisine here (nb: would be “Pretty Good” in a bigger city with more options). A few standout dishes and cocktails. Good wine list. Try the albondigas in mole appie – a unique take on the mole, my fav thing on the menu! Desserts are decent, I’m personally not a fan of the acidic-forward cheesecake, but it is unique and interesting.
Service is always excellent, atmosphere is intimate and cozy. Quiet, you can actually have a conversation with your dining party without needing to yell over music and everyone else yelling. Small bar is nice to sit at as a couple or solo.

We celebrated our anniversary here and had a wonderful experience! It’s such a great addition to our little town. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and congratulated on our anniversary, which made the evening feel extra special. The food was outstanding – highly recommend the duck fat fries, beet salad, and the burger! I’d love to see a gluten-free bun option in the future, but the lettuce wrap was still delicious. Service was attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. We can’t wait to come back!

We chose this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary as we were staying nearby. We were hopeful for a special and unique experience, but sadly this place did not live up. The modern atmosphere was a big plus, but did not make up for the rest of the experience. First of all, the service was adequate, but not especially note worthy. The feel from the staff was sort of robotic, as if they were just going through the motions. There wasn’t a real sense of warmth or welcoming. Secondly, the food was disappointing. We ordered the duck fat fries and a salad to start with. The salad was fresh and the blood orange dressing was great, but the fries were undercooked, almost soggy and limp. For our dinners we had the burger and the trout. The burger was basic, lacking anything note worthy and served as a stand alone. To my surprise the trout was served ala cart as well. It was cooked well with a strawberry glaze but again very basic. The menu stated that it was served with micro greens which were essentially 3-4 sprigs on top as a garnish. I get menus were sides are ordered separately and even where multiple dishes are meant to be shared, but this menu really wasn’t designed for that. I believe there were 2 or 3 side dishes to choose from and none seemed remarkable. We ordered the chocolate torte for dessert and it was delicious. However when we inquired about coffee or espresso we were told that they didn’t serve any warm drinks. What?! Why?! Especially in the winter… Lastly, when I made the reservation the app prompted a question about whether or not you were celebrating anything special, so I answered truthfully noting that this would be our 15th anniversary celebration. I did it more as a joke as my husband doesn’t like a lot of spectacle or attention and thought I’d get a laugh out of them doing something silly or fun or special to recognize our big day. You know, the kind of stuff our parent’s generation LOVED Well, what we got was a “I see it is your anniversary” when we checked in, followed by a “Happy anniversary” from a hurried man who appeared to be the owner or manager. That’s it. Which was actually more than we would have ever expected or even desired, but why ask on the reservation app if you don’t intend to do anything noteworthy? There are many high-end restaurants to choose from in Central OR, so we will likely pass on this one in the future.

My husband and I took an out of town work colleague out for dinner on a Sunday evening. We are so thrilled we took a detour from our usual spots in Sisters and Redmond and tried The McArthur.
The service was impeccable and the food was impressive. I had the most delightful Cairpirinha cocktail I’ve ever tasted. The most memorable dishes were two starters, the scallop crudo and the risotto croquette; the crudo was sublime and bewitching while the croquettes were comforting and extravagant. We all adored the hazelnut crusted trout. The wild mushrooms and elote succotash were delicious and on par with the quality of everything else we tried.
The atmosphere is sparse which I understand may make food and service the focus, but for me it is confusing; it didn’t reflect the warmth of the owner and staff nor the creativity of the menu. If I were involved in any fashion in this restaurant I would suggest placing a large but minimal and modern flower arrangement in the dining room to add some elegance and relatability to the space which I felt were lacking considering how refined the rest of our experience was.
All in all, dining at the McArthur was an excellent experience. We are looking forward to many more meals here.
