Wow, what a hidden gem we stumbled upon on our drive to Las Vegas! We were absolutely starving—so hungry we could eat a horse (or at least a really big burger)—and needed a good meal fast. And folks, we found it! At first glance, we were a bit skeptical since it’s connected to a roadway inn, and we thought, “Great, another roadside place.” But the outside looked surprisingly inviting, so we took a chance.
Boy, are we glad we did! The inside was cozy and had a really fun atmosphere—like a little secret spot you’d want to keep to yourself, but hey, we’re sharing. The food was fantastic—our burgers hit the spot, and the French dip was so good we almost forgot we were in the middle of a road trip. Overall, a perfect stop to refuel both our stomachs and our spirits. Definitely a place we’d visit again—if only to try their other menu items

The most delicious Dale’s pulled pork burger I’ve ever had! Thank you, chef! The waitress was charming and very professional. I felt very comfortable and at ease. It’s a pleasant place to enjoy a delicious meal. Thank you, The Mav Kitchen team!

I find myself disappointed every time i go here, between the price and taste it never fails to fall flat. A regular bacon burger with cheese and onion rings nearly $19 that came with a hair. Nachos that the chicken tasted days old and soggy for almost $18 and it was hardly any chicken even though that was probably a good thing, plus the fries tasted like the oil had been to low in temp and old. I miss the old mav when the prices were fair and the food actually tasted good.

UPDATE: I changed my review from 1 to 5 stars after sharing our experience with the manager. What encouraged me to talk to the manager was finding out that they provide coloring pages and crayons for the kids and our waitress did not offer one for my 4-year old daughter. The manager’s approach and resolution made me realize that the restaurant’s environment was completely different from the service that the waitress was providing to us. We were still completely honest about the wings and the manager was very positive and open to the feedback provided. He insisted on offering us a dessert… the cherry pie was DELICIOUS and made me regret not ordering one of their meat pies.
Do not order the wings, they are gross! Waitress was only talking to my husband, ever since we arrived with our daughter, she only greeted my husband, even asked my husband for my order. I was not very sure of what I wanted to order so I asked the waitress how were the pies and she just said “they are pizzas” so I ended up ordering wings. To top it off, wings were cold, dry and old taste.

The Mav and adjoining motel is an absolute gem if you are looking for somewhere to spend the night before flying out of DIA.
The staff are friendly and welcoming, the menu is diverse without being overwhelming and the quality is right up there. Excellent selection of beers and enough screens to make sure you don’t miss any sport you might be interested in.
No doubt we will see you guys again next year to round off our annual storm chasing trip.
2025 Update: returned as promised and can confirm the Mav is still excellent. Note opening hours are extended until 10pm after memorial day weekend for summer hours.

Typical bar food… French fries were stale and cold. Burger was dry and over cooked. Ordered as medium and came out well done. Presentation of the food was good but definitely not the best quality. Unfortunately we were sat at a very wobbly table and the chairs were worn heavily as well. $17 per burger. Reality should’ve been $11-$12.

Perfectly prepared and perfectly cooked meal! The place is really nice and cozy with a large tap roo. For beer and beverages in the back. The staff are super friendly and really attentive, specially for this place being pretty busy. Didn’t want for anything and the food was delicious! Thank you
