So, The Mason Jar is going through a facelift and it’ll take a while before the get there, but they certainly have the most energetic, creative and thoughtful people in place to make this happen.

The three stars for the food is because the revamp hasn’t happened yet. It’s not the the food tastes bad, but the menu doesn’t make sense to me. I’ve only had a few things on here that I didn’t enjoy, but as a regular, I know the change is coming.

Their cheeseburger dip is definitely yummy (picture) and a nice appetizer for one or two people.

The change of scenary is currently in the works, so I can’t give it a full 4 stars, but I know what changes are coming.

But no matter why you come here, you’ll always have the best service. This team, now given the decision making authority they always should’ve had, has a bright future and whether it’s your first time or 100th time visiting, they’ll always make you feel like a regular.

Well done Mason Jar Team.

I can’t wait to try all the new things to come.

Wonderful drinks, apps and simple comfort food in a relaxed outdoor and indoor spot. Stephanie states The Mason Jar is under new management with some great changes to the menu and comfort of the restaurant. Cheeseburger dip app and drinks are amazing!

Spacious place for dining. It wasn’t crowded when I went (Thursday evening). While the menu sounded amazing and food looked delicious that was where it ended. I ordered the burrata toast and it was more like bread-still soft. Fried pickles seemed very salty. Fish and chips were piping hot but couldn’t even eat 1 whole piece because of how salty it was. I’ve talked to some friends after my visit and they had a similar experience the couple times they went so I don’t think I will be coming back to see if it’s better the second time.

Not sure why the stars are low. The food and service was great. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and amount of each serving. And breakfast for supper is perfect. Dylan took great care of us.

We will be back. It was more than we expected and have already shared.

Came to Mason Jar for a late lunch today, we had been there a few times before in the past and it was nice but not great. Came to find out the place is now under new management and making numerous changes and improvements in the very near future to enhance a quality place to new heights. Were greeted by Manager Stephanie, who was very courteous, respectful and pleasant to meet and talk to. The menu was excellent, there had been a few changes made since our last visit and I enjoyed the country fried steak and my wife had some appetizers. Food was prompt and hit the spot, as I pretty much devoured my healthy portion within a few minutes. Prices are reasonable, numerous TVs on with some Saturday sports and Stephanie let us know some of the improvements coming up, which we were excited to hear about the outdoor patio and fire-pit activity and also the live music and nightly agendas planned. Highly recommend the Mason Jar and the positive and infectious atmosphere that it has!

Great little spot in Chesapeke. Amazing cocktails, craft beer, southern food and excellent service. They have a nice outdoor area with fire pits.

My new happy place! I’m gonna use this platform to say all the positive things that I love about this place. I have never had a bad meal here. The cocktails are phenomenal. The jukebox and the games make you wanna stick around and drink more and eat more ha ha. And Stephanie makes it an amazing experience. I wish I could take her home with me.

My wife and I took a lunch date to The Mason Jar yesterday. The hostess/waitress/bartender/manager was delightful and took care of us. We ordered the pimento balls for an appetizer and they were tasty. They weren’t to greasy and the jam on them gave them a different dimension.

I got the meatloaf and it was good. The mashed potatoes could have used some help on taste, but the broccoli was good and the onion rings were as well. My wife got the chicken salad sandwich. I had a bite and it was good. It could have been elevated by adding maybe pecans to it for some crunch.

We’d go back for another meal.

Under new ownership! We just had a delicious relaxing dinner with 4 adults and a 4 yr old. It was a cold rainy night and the atmosphere was wonderful. Stephanie was a great server, she was incredibly nice, accommodating and responsive making very enjoyable.

The Mason Jar had good food. When we arrived we were the only ones at the restaurant and quickly ordered. We all got the dishes a very long time after ordering, and they all came out at different times. The flavor of the food was good and our server was nice, I had ordered sparkling water and seemed like the bottle used had been opened for a while, it was completely flat, but the server removed it from the check and apologized for the inconvenience which was appropriate. I would not go out of my way to visit the reaturant, but if I’m in the area, I would consider going back.
