Here are my reviews on the day and night time vibes.
During the day:
+ they’re less busy
+ talking is easier
+ outside and inside areas for hot or cold
+ they have local bands all the time
– sometimes there’s a drat when it is cold because there isn’t any permanent doors.
During the night:
+ the night life here usually starts around 10pm(later than most)
+ KAREOKE AT 9-9:30pm
+ the djs are always nice
+ smoking/vaping is only outside
+ the cold chill feels nice when your drunk
+ the bartenders always get your drinks right and the bounces do their job so well nothing goes unnoticed

+ A very young and vibrant crowd. This place is great for groups
+ Tacos are on the pricey side, but they are delicious. Decently priced, fresh ingredients, good flavor, and good options
+ GET THE NACHOS! The nachos are great for sharing and super tasty.

Tacos really did the place justice… house salsa and food presentation was on point and somewhat unexpected. Fries great too. Service and bartender was great. Despite seeming a bit divy the food makes up for it and it’s pet friendly. Will be back.

Really good bar food. The Calamari was delicious. Nachos were big and good to share. But the sliders were my favorite. I’d go back just to have those with a beer…yum!! The atmosphere was totally like a dive bar. Had great music playing and it just seemed like a chill place to hang.

Amazing prices and great selection of food and drink. Get a shot and draft beer for $7 and selection of great tacos and mexican-inspired plates. The crunchy pescado taco was delicious and the pastor meat was very good as well. Seemed like only one person was working the bar and tables on a Saturday afternoon, but she gave great service throughout our time there refilling waters and offering to get anything else before bringing the check.

Enjoyed our dinner at this place. The nachos were strong and the tacos were delicious. The service was very attentive and the owner or manager visited with us a few different times to ensure we we’re satisfied.
The only criticism was the ambiance, or lack thereof. The lighting was quite dim and the seating a bit uncomfortable. Hopefully they can address some of these minor items.

Terrible Experience! Black Male review: My girlfriend and I were invited to The Mark on Halloween night but couldn’t even make it inside due to extremely jerkish and hostile “security” . One of the security guards ASSAULTED my girlfriend and flailed around my ID at some point. Somewhere in there we were bounced for no reason other than your best guess. I am a professional, so I conducted myself like one through this.
The Mark place is honestly sketchy so if you’re not into that, go elsewhere. So, Never again should someone from your establishment treat a person of color, a woman or patron, for that matter with disregard, After this review.
P.s. Lower level management was alright when I had to -Follow Up- with the incident, on my own time. That’s all.

this place hires the genuine worst people to possible exist. CJ is the worst employee i have ever met in my entire life. he denied me and my friend because of our sexual orientation and he would not let us talk to him or even look at him. i could not believe that a place like this would hire him. there are four people that witnessed his discrimination and we are filing legal action because of the extent of his disrespect and absolute indifference. CJ caused me to never want to step foot in The Mark again. not going back.

We took a trip from Fresno to Avila and decided to go out for a bite to eat. After reading the reviews, I saw they had a back patio, which was perfect since I had my two dogs with me. We decided to give this place a try, and I’m glad we did!
The service was absolutely the best out of all the places we visited. Everyone was incredibly welcoming— the bartender even asked if we wanted a dog bowl for our pups, which was a super sweet touch. Another staff member kindly gave my dogs some sliders, making us feel right at home.
It was a very warm and inviting place, especially for my first time in SLO. If I ever find myself back in town, I’ll definitely return!

Nice open space with large outdoor patio out back. Prices are very good for SLO, especially considering how tasty the food is. The tacos are the real deal, and the fried goodies were also tasty, if a bit overfried. Service was just the right amount of friendly-casual. This place is an extra good choice when the weather’s nice.
