I had been waiting months for my visit to Whitefish and first visit to Mama Ev’s and it did not disappoint!!! The food is incredible, the atmosphere open and inviting, and the wine list is fantastic. All of the ingredients are so fresh. You can tell each pizza and salad is well-thought out and cared for in the kitchen. And I love that they serve the pizzas with kitchen shears to cut your own slices! A fun addition to the meal. Can’t wait to go back – a new staple on every future trip to Whitefish.

A must try!! The Caesar salad was delicious and included melt in your mouth garlic bread as a garnish. Everything was grown locally and so fresh on the salad! The pizza was absolutely incredible too with a sour dough crust cooked perfectly with just the right amount of gooey cheese and toppings! Thank you Mama Ev! You and your staff are doing such a beautiful job creating a lovely atmosphere and delicious food and even making homemade sodas and dessert!

The prosciutto bruschetta was amazing! Highly recommend it. The pizza and salads were also very good. If you want pizza and salad, come here if you are in whitefish.

The local salad is amazing. Highly recommend. Really cute place and staff was exceptional. I’m terrible at names to give the male server credit from last night (I was at the little outdoor table).

The most INCREDIBLE find we’ve had on our trip!
The service, owner, and of course the food are off the charts!
We were in town for three days, found this on the second day and just had to come back on our final day!
You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu but if you need a suggestion Order the Prosciutto pizza!!

With the homemade sauce and dough I can say that this is the best pizza I’ve ever eaten! Fantastic atmosphere and service. Christopher was the best waiter I’ve had in years. This is a must visit for anyone in the area. Had the prosciutto arugula pizza last night and the margarita tonight. Both were great!

Although the price is high-end for pizza, this is not just pizza! It is a lovely dalliance of individual flavors, the right amount of gooey cheese to do the creations justice, and was incredible the next day!
In addition to pizzas, we also had a Caesar salad, heirloom tomato salad, and a not sweet but delicate and fabulous Czech style cherry cake.
I recommend making an excuse to come here. From far and wide, for a special occasion or a weeknight splurge.
You will not be sorry.

TLDR: Mama Ev’s is a delightful haven of food and company, with superlative house-made food and drinks, notable commitment to sustainability, attentive service, and a tranquil patio atmosphere.
Perfect spot for a solo traveler to have an amazing dinner al fresco. The pizza crust was flavorful and yeasty – better than a lot of NY pizza (I’m a former New Yorker!). Get the house sodas – the huckleberry soda was mildly sweet and came with a heart-shaped straw! Also – if they have specials, go for them. They really are special flavors (I had a watermelon salad with pistachios which I will now forever try to make myself).
I appreciated the sustainability: ingredients are locally sourced, food and drinks are made in house, and to go boxes are compostable. Even the straws are reusable metal straws instead of paper or sugarcane.
My server, Christopher, was attentive, quick, and timed my meal perfectly. He gave me good tips on off-the-beaten path things to do. He was also just a fun guy to talk with him! The owner, Eva, warmly welcomes diners and makes you feel like family.
I sat on the patio, in the warm setting sun, with string lights and lots of flowering plants all around me. It was delightfully tranquil. Couldn’t recommend this place more!
