Upscale locale with unwritten menu of seasonal, internationally inspired dishes, plus a piano bar.

For the amount of money paid, the meal was disappointing. The service was excellent – I do want to give credit for that. My filet was ok. Nothing special and the same was true of my salad. I’ve had much better at less expensive places. The pricing is comparable to Steak 48 in Charlotte and Steak 48 is easily 10x better food. In addition, the decor was bad. This place has not aged well – stained, dirty looking acoustic tile ceiling. Decor is circa 1998. For less money I could have an amazing meal in a beautiful location at Green Valley Grill. Great service though.

My husband took me here for my birthday. We have always heard great things about this restaurant and couldn’t wait to try it! When we got there, our server was great! He romanced all of their entree’s and told us about all of their specials. When I only ordered sparkling water, he had to ask me 3 more times if I wanted something from the bar, little does he know that I am a recovery alcoholic. My husband however, had a glass of wine and a beer. We shared two appetizers and each had a salad. We were content with that. After we ordered our salad, our server came over and asked if we were ready to order our main entree, we said, “no, our salads are our main entree” he took the menus and rudely walked away from us. Treated us like we were Less than because we did not order more. I was not fond of what all the menu had to offer as far as main entrees. What we had was good. Very expensive, but there are other places around town that treat you better and have more and better food options for the cost. We won’t be going back.

Please keep in mind this review reflects expected outcomes vs cost. If I’m at a restaurant where my meal is easily over $100/plate (which before tip is easy to do here) then I fully expect the best meal and service possible for this area. The lamb chops were excellent, but other food items were below expectation. It’s amazing how one wrong thing can sorta ruin the experience though. In this case it was the fact that one of my guests asked for 2 pieces of bread and the wait staff said that he could only have one. I’ve never personally been to a restaurant that ever denied a patron a second piece of bread, let alone a restaurant of this price. It left a bad taste (metaphorically speaking) in our mouth. Too much competition in this town to return to this place. The steak house we went to the next day was wonderful. We’ll return there.

We dined at Marisol on New Year’s Eve 2025 as a family party of six. Our server was incredibly helpful, attentive, and made us feel well cared for throughout the evening. We began with the foie gras, which was excellent, and we were also pleasantly surprised by the cocktails—they were well balanced and generously poured.
Unfortunately, the entrées were a disappointment. My mother ordered the tilapia and requested it without salt, but it arrived extremely salty to the point that she was unable to eat it. I ordered the lamb cooked medium well due to a sensitive stomach, but it was served very rare and quite pink. I didn’t feel comfortable eating it, and unfortunately became very ill later that evening, missing the New Year’s countdown as a result.
While we are happy to pay higher prices for high-quality food and careful preparation, the execution of the entrées did not meet expectations for the price point. We truly appreciated the service and some standout items, but hope the kitchen can be more attentive to preparation requests and consistency in the future.

The Atmosphere was not the best. We were seated close to the door with the table half on a brick wall and half on a window. I felt crowded. There were empty tables toward the back that were not as crowded. The food was overpriced. The steak was not juicy it was on the dry side. I ordered lamb fully cooked and when I got the plate the first time it was still rare inside. They took the plate and brought back the same plate with the same lamb and sides. They had barely cooked the lamb as it was still med-rare inside. They took the plate back a second time. They brought it back a third time with the same plate and cut up lamb and side that had been on there at this point it seemed ridiculous that I had sent this same plate back. I was hungry and my friend had already tried to wait to eat his food as I was waiting on mine to be fixed. The lamb this time was a medium well. I just ate it this time. I didn’t appreciate the server trying to make an excuse by saying “sometimes it’s hard for them to tell if it’s well done because of the bone.” This is supposed to be a 5 star fine dinning restaurant and to me it seems that they should know how to fully cook meat. It is unacceptable to make excuses for poorly served food. There is a thing called a meat thermometer. I will definitely not go back.

Excellent service! Went for our anniversary and was far from disappointed. The focaccia bread was the best we ever had, and when we told them about it, they gave us half a wheel of it to take home. I had trout and my wife had salmon and those dishes were fantastic. Highly recommended for having an intimate evening with your loved one.

This place deserves a 10!!! The food is absolutely delicious!!! I had the lambchops and my friend had the duck. We also had appetizers. The shrimp and some type of pasta, which were both amazing. There was a soup that was absolutely delicious!!! The service was great and the server described everything in detail. We wanted to try everything! It’s really nice in the inside. It’s worth every penny! We will be back! O yea dessert and the Lemon drop was great too!

Overall dining experience was very good. Service was responsive and new the menu well.
Good quality was high and tasted excellent. I had the salmon pate for app and osibuco for entree. Both were very nice, I had the opportunity to try the house sausage app. Would highly recommend that if you are a sausage fan. It was excellent.
Decor was a bit dark as prior reviewers noted and seating a bit tight for robust customers.
Look forward to returning to try the Salmon Wellington, sold out this evening.

The food was excellent, and in the right environment the price would make sense. However, the restaurant did not feel clean. The ceiling tiles were a mess, the service was friendly but way too casual for 5 star food. Dinner for two was just shy of $300 and we only had one cocktail and no wine. Apps, soup and entree and 1 drink each the bill was $300. Atmosphere fell more like a diner.

My boyfriend made us reservations for my birthday. The food and presentation was absolutely amazing! Our waiter was very knowledgeable of very dish and gave descriptive details of the menu and the nightly specials. I had the sautéed Trout and my boyfriend had the blackened salmon, we got the crab cake and cavatelli lobster dish for our appetizers, and we also split the fried goat cheese salad. Highly recommend the salad. The goat cheese, candied walnuts and apples meshed well for the perfect salad. The host came across a bit stand offish and the entranced of the restaurant seemed a little dated (a table with all the menus just tossed on the table). Reservations are required but I’d say this place is worth every penny.
