The Main Street Pub looked like a local favorite, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. We ordered fried food, and while we expected it to be crispy and dry, everything was drenched in oil. It was not appetizing at all.
The excessive oil overshadowed any potential flavor, making the food unenjoyable. Overall, we did not like the food we had there and left quite dissatisfied. I hope they can improve the quality of their fried dishes in the future.

I was in town on business and afterwards I was looking for a place to grab a bite to eat and I casually strolled into The Main Street Pub. Upon entry it was very dimly lit and the strongest impression was the stink of a fryer that might have fried one too many batches of fries or crystalized freezer burned tater tots. The staff at the bar were busy speaking in hushed tones with some locals and seemed a little put off by having to break away from the daily gossip huddle to acknowledge my presence. As I sat there waiting for service I got a good look at the kitchen service line which is right behind the bar and the overall squalid condition of the equipment along with the malodorous invasion of my olfactory glands I made up my mind not to have a bite to eat in this particular establishment. I did dare to order a bottled beer to slake my thirst. A glass was offered to accompany my beverage but I politely declined. Worst case scenario I could wipe off the bottle top with the corner of my shirt prior to taking a sip. The eye roll that I was given by the “bar tendress” affirmed to me, I made the right choice to have one drink only and high step it right out the front door to engage in commerce with another establishment in town. Maybe the lady behind the bar was having an emotionally challenging day. But I’ll say the elderly lady sitting at the bar was a bit more personable she at least inquired as to “where I was from”, but given the curtain of gloom draped over the the whole experience. I suspect they might have been looking for another target of gossip, rumor, and suspicion and right now the sights were set upon me. Fortunately for me I found a quaint little place across the square and around the corner that was resplendent in it’s cleanliness, warm service, and a delightful bill of fare, and cocktail service

This place is super cute we ate here twice while in town, the wings had wonderful flavor, the adult slushies were so good I could have drank a bucket of them, and the horseshoe with brisket…OMG it was amazing first time I had a horseshoe and was in total love with it- if you havent had one before eat it here you wont be sorry!!

We stopped there for lunch while visiting. It’s a small place, but very personable. Typical old style pub. Food list is small but really good. We definitely will be going back when in that area. I had the mushroom burger and onion rings. Best tasting burger I have had in a long time from a restaurant. The onion rings were perfectly cooked and great tasting. My wife had a chicken wrap, and liked it also.

They have a good variety of salads. The Chef Salad is filling. I’m not a fan of the ribeye, but the burgers and fries are good. The Fire Burger is one of my favorites. I know others like the fish, etc.
Had the Fire Burger again today and it was as good as usual. The staff know me and know what I drink and what I can’t have. Personal place.

First time here! Absolutely loved it!!! Had the 1/2 pound fire burger, my husband had the Cob burger! Both were fantastic! Food came out quick and hot and the beers were delicious and ice cold!!!
