I had some ice cream at The Main Scoop in Mahomet and it was a great little spot. The ice cream was rich and creamy, just how it should be. I tried the Cookie Monster flavor and it was delicious, full of cookie chunks and really fun. I also had the strawberry ice, and I loved that it had real strawberries in it. You can actually taste the difference.
The atmosphere inside is really nice and welcoming. It’s definitely on the smaller side, so it can feel a bit tight when it gets busy, but it still has a good vibe. If you’re in the area and craving something sweet, it’s worth checking out.

Things have changed! We’ve been coming here for years with our grandsons and have always had a good time. Yesterday a new woman was working there and it was not a good experience. Very small $5 scoops and really not the usually smiles and interaction we’re used to. If this was our first visit, it would be our last.

Highly recommend if you’re an ice cream lover. The ice cream was really delicious and they had good flavors. There are also variations of flavored popcorn, ice cream in tubs and soda in glass bottles that you can purchase separately.

My daughter and I love being able to ride our bikes to Main Scoop and grab a sweet treat to indulge in while playing a fun game or two!! We also think it’s an added bonus that they offer a sweet treat to our pup when she walks with us and they have a water bowl outside. Not just a great place for humans but pups too!!

This is a true gem. We need lactose free choices & they have 4 available all the time. The regular ice cream was really delicious , too. The waffle cones are great. It smells amazing in there. The bathroom was clean & cute. The whole building was super cute, fun signs, great decorations, and friendly staff. The also selling old fashion suckers & hard candies. They have a bottled soda collection for purchase, which included Fritz soda. Definitely recommend this cute little ice cream shop!
