First time trying The Main Event as I am in town for work. Parking lot is very busy even on a Wednesday night. But once you get in seated right away. The place is very nicely decorated for Christmas with Christmas music playing. TV’s everywhere for all the games. Nice sized portions for a decent price. I ordered the grilled chicken with Tennessee sauce over seasoned rice. It came with a side house salad which was very good. If you are in the area and can find a parking spot check it out.

I may be using too old a reference to have any weight saying it, but imagine the bar from “Cheers” but six times bigger. With wonderful music playing and sports on not one, not two, but MANY television sets so everyone can see the games going on. Food was great, the dessert too. Isabella was a great attendant. I never wanted for anything during the whole experience. Thanks for the meal, The Main Event!

One bartender for a rather large bar, was ignored for a majority of the time. Oysters were good. Lobster bisque was cream heavy and thick than broth based, lots of krab in it with small bits of real lobster. I may or may not return.

Nice sports bar/restaurant. Parking was a bit challenging but once we got in we were seated. Our waitress must have been new because every question we asked about the dishes we were interested in she had to go back into the kitchen to give us a response. I ordered the seafood francese and the fish fillet, shrimp and scallops were fresh and cooked well. I didn’t care for the francese sauce though, it was butter heavy and lacked flavor, I didn’t taste any white wine or chicken stock in the sauce which is typical of a francese sauce. The sauteed spinach was very good. I gave it a lower rating for service because the waitress didn’t refill my water or come by to ask if we needed anything else. It would be a great place to watch a sporting event and have a drink with appetizers or finger food.

Wow! Why did we wait so long? I’ve driven past this place a hundred times but never stopped until this past week. It is best described as, if Miller’s Ale House and the Tap Room had a super baby, this would be it! Lots more TVs than Miller’s, better decor and more seats than Tap Room. Decor is amazing, staff couldn’t be more friendly. The menu was great, the amount of choices were perfect. Lots of different food combinations and totally different sauce flavors and food mixtures. Gotta give it a try for sure!!!

My husband and I got married in September and decided to have a celebration dinner here for about 40 people. We had eaten here on our own and went to a rehearsal dinner as well so we knew we liked it already. The woman we worked with was amazing and kept in touch to make sure everything was exactly what we wanted. On the day of, we showed up early to set up and right away we were asked if we wanted anything to drink, etc. The service was incredible, they were so attentive and caring to everyone there. The food was delicious, our cake was beautiful and tasted great, and it was PERFECT. We had such a great time and got complemented by multiple people that it was a great idea and they wanted to come back on their own time to enjoy the food again. Thank you guys for giving us such a memorable experience with our friends and family!

We had an amazing time at The Main Event in Farmingdale this past Saturday for a retirement party with about 50 guests. From start to finish, everything went perfectly! Steve, the manager, was incredibly helpful and attentive, making sure our group had everything we needed. A huge shout-out to Shannon, our server—she was absolutely fantastic!
The food was delicious, the drinks were even better, and the entire staff made us feel welcome and taken care of all evening. It’s not easy to manage a large group, but they pulled it off flawlessly. Highly recommend The Main Event for any celebration or get-together—great people, great service, and great vibes all around!

We decided to dine here as they participated in restaurant week. We arrived around 6 and were greeted and seated immediately. We were waited on by Matt who was gracious and had a pleasant demeanor. I wasn’t expecting to be impressed by sports bar food but I was surprised! We ordered bake clams, crab cake, and broiled salmon and had oreo crunch ice cream for dessert. Salmon was well seasoned with a nice crispy exterior and moist inside. I cant stop singing its praises. We tried the Chilean sea bass but it didn’t agree with our palate. Overall 2 thumbs up to the Main Event!

I had my daughter’s 1st birthday party here a couple of weeks ago. They have a private area in the back of the restaurant. Steve was so wonderful to work with and the entire staff is so friendly, professional, organized, and provide the absolute best service. The food was beyond fantastic. Besides the best wings ever, this place hosts an amazing party that networks with a bakery that made the most delicious cake! We can’t wait to come back and have dinner here soon. Pictured is the birthday girl enjoying the best meatball slider on the planet.

A friend of us took us out to dinner at this place and we had no idea what to expect. The salad with grilled chicken was delicious. The steak was tasted to perfection. Service was pretty good. A few weeks later we went back on our own and had another good meal. This is definitely one of our go-to places when we are in the area.
