Every time we visit this area of Vermont we always stop here. The food is delicious and always so filling. The prices are amazing. I love that you can see the smoker working in the parking lot. The first time we came here I had the torta which was perfect. This time I ordered the Big Daddy Fatty I had no idea what to expect and I was blown away. Everyone around us asked what I had ordered because it looked that good. It tasted even better though! Their fajitas are also a favorite with my friend group! I can’t wait to come up again and enjoy the food!

Dope little taco spot in Vermont. I’m from chicago so I’m picky about my tacos but this place forsure can hold it own in this fire taco world. Go for the carnitas tacos forsure. Chicken were good but I would suggest ordering with guac on side. Margaritas are good and are not from concentrate. Also the grilled cheese is good, my daughter loved it. Highly recommend if you’re in the area !

The food was excellent and came out quickly. Beer selection was great. Unfortunately the bartender was so miserable it nearly ruined the whole experience. My friend and I are polite and kind. We had great conversations with the locals and other patrons. We were happy and upbeat upon arrival and left a massive tip and still the bartender was just not friendly. I’m sorry but there is no need for it, if your that miserable maybe the service industry isn’t for you. As a business owner and entrepreneur I hate to leave a poor review but wow. My friend instantly made a comment about how rude the bartender was the moment we left the door. When you leave a restaurant with excellent food the last thing you should be talking about is how mean the server was. I will give it another shot and will gladly change my review. In fact I would love to change my review.

I’ve had a lot of Mexican food in my life, on three different continents, and honestly this is top five. Their burritos and tacos are insanely good. Extreme attention to detail is evident in the flavors, ingredients, construction, and overall experience here. The people are down to earth and friendly. Even when it’s busy they don’t seem phased, just happy to be serving good food to locals and visitors. The spicy pork is actually spicy. Beer list is solid. We can’t wait to become regulars once we have a place in the MRV!

It was very busy and seemed like a local favorite. I had fish tacos and they were ginormous. The fish was fried which isn’t my favorite but they were decent. Not a whole lot of flavor, which was disappointing considering everyone else got tacos with meat and really liked them. Another friend got a torta which was very large. Not sure he liked it all that well… I think the key is to order the pork belly or Carnitas here. They had a great beer and wine selection, friendly staff and a fun restaurant vibe. Lots of outdoor seating. We liked the guac and the “chips“, which were whole corn tortillas, fried. Good little spot. We probably spent about $20 per person. The tacos were really huge though and honestly you could probably split an order with someone, especially if you were getting a beer or chips and salsa/guac.

Ok here’s the deal..the food is delicious. The beer list is stellar. The platters are perfect for a take home meal or picnic. This is a great grab-and-go location. However, if you want to sit down and eat, you will be seriously disappointed. It’s a dive bar inside. If you like dive bars, you’ll love it. But I just want tasty food and I can’t hear when my order is called because it is so loud. Everyone is yelling and the music is blasting. I highly recommend the Montpelier location for a casual and yummy dining experience. Waitsfield I only recommend for take out or for people who love the bar scene.
